3:36am

Nesta and Lucky haven't moved from their spot. As a matter of fact, Nesta was planning to spend the night here. Just under the Gryffindor tower. Where no one can find her. Where no one can bother her. Where she cam be alone. Just her, her cat Lucky...

...and her parents.

Standing before her were her parents. Bright. Young. Beautiful. Lily and James Archeron. Looking down on their young daughter as she slept peacefully, her body leaning against the glass while Lucky laid on her lap.

"Nesta?" Both Nesta and Lucky shot their eyes open upon hearing Nesta's name.

There before them was Kallias. The High Lord of the Winter Court. He was in a tuxedo suit with a white lily resting in his front pocket. His hands were in his pockets and his face was unreadable.

Thinking that someone ratted her out, Nesta quickly stood up on her feet. "S-Sorry Professor. I didn't mean-"

"It's alright Nesta You're not in trouble." Kallias replied.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Nesta stretched out her back while Lucky hissed at Kallias. "Lucky stop it. This is Kallias remember?" Nesta said, trying to calm down her cat. Kallias merely chuckled. "It's alright Nesta. My wife is an Animagus. Every time she's mad at me, she turns into a cat and hisses at me whenever I get too close." Kallias said, bending down on his knee.

Lucky continued to stand her ground, hissing so loud, she was like a jaguar. Kallias slowly stroked behind the cat's ear. stopping the hissing in an instant. Almost immediately, Lucky began to purr in the High Lord's touch.

Nesta was left stunned. "Woah. How did you do that?"

"Like I said, my wife can turn into a cat. So, in order to calm her down, I just trace my finger at this exact spot just behind her ear. Do that to a cat or dog and they'll trust you completely." Kallias explained, putting on a smug face.

Lucky was now currently lying down on her side, eager to have her ear scratched again. Nesta couldn't help but giggle at her current state. "She likes it." she says as Kallias stood up and walked over to the mirror."

"So you've found it." Kallias said as Nesta looked to see that Kallias was referring to the mirror. Nesta chuckled. "Well technically Lucky found it. I just followed her." she replied as Kallias hummed. "The mirror of desire. I haven't seen this mirror in ages."

"You've seen their before?"

"Seen it? I was the one who found it." Kallias replied, pressing his hand against the glass. His icy toned hand cause a section of the glass to be frozen. "What did you see Nesta?" he asked, not taking his eyes off the mirror. Nesta looked at the mirror in confusion. Her parents were clearly visible in the mirror. "My parents. Can't you see them?" Now it was Kallias's turn to chuckle. "This is the Mirror of Desire. Instead of showing your reflection, it shows what you desire most. So tell me Nesta. What do you desire?"

Nesta looked at her parents in the mirror. The way their smiles brightened her heart. The way they looked at her like she was the most precious thing in the world. She wanted that more than anything.

Kallias noticing the despair on her face, nodded in understanding. "I see. Your parents were amazing and bright students at Hogwarts. Although, your father had always been a rather curious boy." Kallias chuckles as the memories of Nesta's father flooded his mind.

Nesta, eager to hear more about her dad, walked over to him. "What was he like?" she asked, Lucky now rubbing against her legs. Kallias paused before answering. "Your father would explore the entire school just to find places to hide.

"Really?"

"Yep. And they were good place too. Took Beron a whole week to find his old crown." Nesta giggled trying to imagine her father sneaking around the castle.

Nesta looked at Kallias who had his eyes on the mirror. "What do you desire?"

Kallias's eyes widen. What he desired? No one never really asked that.

All throughout his life, he'd been given what he wanted. The best castle. The best education. The best food. The best parents. He had everything a child could ever wish for. And yet, he was still unsatisfied.

Until he met his now wife Vivian. Vivian taught him what it meant to be a good friend, and a good husband. If it weren't for her, he'd be sitting in his ice castle looking down on his subjects like an old man (her words).

Lightly patting Nesta's head, Kallias smiled and began to walk away. "You're not fully prepared for that story yet, Nesta."
