After Christmas and New Years, the remaining students at Hogwarts had returned for the next semester. Emerie walked into the Great Hall and was greeted by her friends. How was your break Em?" Gwyn had asked as Emerie smiled and rubbed the back of her head. "It was fun. Azriel really helped me with understanding my Illryian culture." she explained as she walked over to the Ravenclaws to help her unpack.

The next day, classes started up again, and the next semester was upon the girls. Nesta and the twins were currently in the library looking over new notes for Potions Class. "I'm so glad Professor Tamlin finally gave us permission to take notes." Gwyn said, practically beaming with joy as she scribbled down her homework. Catrin chuckled. "I'm just glad he was in a happy mood for once."

"I'm just glad we found the right section for the book we've been looking for." Emerie announced, stomping over to the group with a very huge book. So huge, the girls were surprised that Emerie was able to carry it.

"Um Emerie, where did you-"

"I had this checked out weeks ago for a bit of light reading."

"WHAT!!" The girls yelled, earning a 'shhh' sound from the librarian Clotho (she has a second job). "Sorry mom." Gwyn whispered as her adoptive mother went back to her work.

Emerie nervously chuckled. "Sorry girls." she replied flipping through the pages of the book to find what she was looking for. When her task was completed, she gasped. "Yes. Here it is:

Tarquin the Third is the only known maker of the Sorcerer's Stone."

"The what?" The girls asked, their confusion almost triggering Clotho again. Emerie rolled her eyes "Don't you guys ever read a book?:

The Sorcerer's Stone is a legendary substance with astonishing powers. It can transform any metal into pure gold and produces the elixir of life, which will make the drinker immortal."

"Immortal?" Catrin asked as Emerie looked up. "It means you'll never die."

"But I already-" Catrin was cut off by Nesta who placed her hand on her shoulder and shook her head. Catrin shrugged but didn't say anything further. Emerie continued:

"The only stone currently in existence belongs to Tarquin the Third, the noted alchemist who last celebrated his 665th birthday."

When Emerie finished, the girls were shocked. Especially Nesta. "That's what Fluffy's guarding on the third floor."

"And that's what's under the trapdoor." Nesta added. "The Sorcerer's Stone."
