My Wedding Plans..And The Telling ~ Lily

My friends understood the situation and then they launched into a lecture about me and Heath "your together, then something goes wrong, and then your together and then you get a pregnancy scare and then your back together, and then this thing with Brooke happens and now your marrying him?" Miranda asked "it was a decision based on my feelings and I know how much you think we are cute together" I said. Hannah smiled "I will support you" she said and I smiled "thanks Hannah" I said.

After their lecture, I invited them to be my bridesmaids and then I dreaded telling my father about my engagement and of course Bethany wanted to be there with me. I walked home with her, feeling the engagement ring on my finger. I saw Heath standing at my front door and when he saw me he smiled and my heart melted in a way that made me forget everything. A blush crept to my face when I saw him "Lily" Heath said and took my hand to kiss it "Heath" I said my heart melting more.

He picked me up and twirled me around and kissed me softly. Bethany gagged and giggled as she walked in and greeted my father. I pulled away and walked in, holding Heath's hand, I let go to hug my father after not seeing him in so long. "Lily, your home" he said and looked at Heath "ah, I should be thanking you for taking care of my daughter at work" he said and held a hand towards Heath and he took it, shaking slightly. "Father we have something to tell you" I said and put my hand in his, the ring showing.

As soon as he saw the ring, he went bright red "your married?" he asked "no engaged" I said "to me" Heath piped up and my father looked at me "Lily, what is the meaning of this? This is your boss" he said "I know father, but things became complicated and then we kind of fell in love with each other" I said and looked away. Heath took my hand "I promise I will take excellent care of your daughter, she means the world to me" Heath said "I don't know what to say" my father said and I took both his hands in mine. "Just say you'll be the one to walk me down the aisle and give me away" I said and he looked at me.

I saw tears coming from his eyes and I wiped them away "I know mom won't be here to see me get married, but maybe you can, and when you pass away and see mom, you can tell her that you saw me get married, and that you were the one to walk me to the man I am marrying" I said "I know, your mom would be so proud of you, of what your doing, she would tell you to go for it, if you love him" dad said and pulled me in for a hug and held me close "be sure to see me whenever you can" he said and I nodded hugging him back "you know I will" I said.

After what seemed like ages, Heath and I left the house and Bethany and I said our farewells before going different directions. I held Heath's hand as we walked, my head leaning against his arm "thank you" I said and looked up at him "for what?" he asked "for saying those words" I said "I said nothing that got him to allow you to be married to me" Heath said "I just hope my mom would be seeing me on the day dressed in white and wearing the tiara she wore when she married my father" I said and he smiled "you will look beautiful" Heath said.
