Chapter Nine

My Lonesome Soul ~ Lily

I ran straight home and called my friends over. I was lying under my covers and holding the pillow closely to my chest. My face was tear stained and my body rocking with sobs as hot tears spilled from my face and on the pillow wetting it.

"Lily?" Miranda asked and my friends sat around me. I moved the covers off my head and sat up. They all hugged me and I smiled weakly "hey" I said "don't worry, we are here to help mend that broken heart" Hannah said. Jasmine smiled and handed me a small wrapped gift "it's something from all of us" she said "thank girls" I said and wiped my face as I open it.

It was a tiny locket with all our names engraved in it. My name, Jasmine's name, Bethany's name, Hannah's name and Miranda's name all around a heart in the middle, there engraved in the middle was 'best friends forever'. I smiled "I love it" I said "if anything goes wrong, always look at this and remember our time as best friends and hopefully it will cheer you up" Bethany said.

"Thanks" I said and smiled. After a while, my best friends bought me some sweets and a cake to help cheer me up, that night we rented some scary movies and watched them all night. In the morning we were sleeping all over the place, after the movies and eating we did last night. I felt sick after all the food I ate. "Lily, don't you have any work?" my father called from downstairs.

"I quit" I called down to him and he didn't say another word after that. I looked at my phone and saw a message from Heath, he was asking for me to come in, so that he could explain what just happened.

I ignored the text and left my phone on my bedside table. "You going to look for another job?" Miranda asked "maybe, if I can find a job where the boss doesn't want to sleep with me every day at work" I said "don't worry, we can help you get another job" Hannah said and I nodded and smiled. "Why is the TV still on?" Bethany asked and I looked at the TV "did anyone remember to turn it off?" I asked "nope, we were to drunk" Hannah said and we all laughed.

After the TV was turned off, we each took a shower and dressed in different clothes and we re-did our hair. We then grabbed our bags and headed to my car that sat in the driveway. We then took a drive to Bethany's house for her to get dressed in her swimmers. We traveled to each girls house and waited for her change into their swimmers. Mine was on under my normal clothes so I didn't need to go home and change.

We then arrived at the pools and we sun bathed and took swims, having lunch in between. We even talked about what had happened between me and Heath and the girl that seemed to put me off edge. "Have you and Heath been seen in public before?" Hannah asked me "yeah, heaps of times, why?" I asked a little nervous "it seems he loves you more because he was never seen in public with that girl, what's her name?" Bethany asked.

"I think it was Brooke" I said "that backstabbing bitch" Miranda said "you know her?" Hannah asked Miranda "she used to go to my school, and she like slept with nearly all the boys in our grade, she even slept with him in my bed when I had my party and I like punched her" Miranda said "I can't believe this is happening to me, there are so many drama's going on and it's getting beyond a joke, I'm going to talk to Heath and get this shit sorted out" I said.

After returning home, I dressed in a shirt and jeans, slipping my boots on. I walked to my car after locking the house up when I noticed dad not being home and I drove to Heath's work. I parked my car and walked to the administration building. I saw Ruby and smiled "hey" I said "long time no see Lily" she said "yeah, things kind of happened and yeah, I ended up not with a job" I said "that must suck" she said "yeah, is there anyway Heath is here?" I asked.

"Yeah he is, I saw like a psycho girl get kicked out and then Heath was talking to me about missing you, he really is ruined Lily, he doesn't know how to get you back" Ruby said "I'm going to sort things out with him, thanks" I said and hugged her. I walked upstairs to where Heath's office was. I stood in front of the door and took a deep breath. I don't know how this will end, but maybe I should give him another chance to explain himself.
