Jimin:
Jimin's heart pounded. This can't be happening. He pulled on his clothes, shaking with emotions, and tried to think of something to say.
"Come on, we are leaving now," Jungkook growled, and threw the rest of their things haphazardly into the pack, and slung it on his back, and started up the slope at nearly a run, long legs stretching wide for each stride.
Fuck, Jimin scrambled after him, needing to run up the steep slope to keep Jungkook in his view.
"Jungkook please!" Jimin called.
Jungkook jumped across the brook, from stone to stone. This time he wasn't looking back to make sure Jimin's feet landed surely, not looking back for Jimin at all...
"Jungkook, my high school is right near your college--please stop!" Jimin called across the brook.
Jimin jumped from stone to stone after him, across the water, legs trembling, and tried his best to keep up. Jungkook was already far from him by the time he got to the other side. He seems to want to get as far from you as possible...
"Jungkook please, don't do this!" Jimin's voice scaled into a wail. "Please, you can't do this!"
The slope got even steeper as they approached the mountain-top, and Jimin's feet slipped on the leaves, and he threw his hands out to catch himself from falling, and gasped for breath to keep up with Jungkook.
Finally they passed over the mountain top, and the beautiful view reminded Jimin of being up here just a few hours ago, and Jungkook looking at him like he was his entire world...and now he's not looking for you at all, Jimin's mind tortured him, and he wanted to vomit.
"Jungkook please, you have to listen to me!" Jimin yelled, now angrily, across the mountain peak, and his voice echoed, but Jungkook didn't turn, and in fact, speeded up as now he jumped quickly down the slope. Jimin broke into sobs, and he whimpered Jungkook's name as he struggled after him.
Jimin's body ached from the hiking and swimming and fucking and crying, his legs trembled as he tried to keep up, scrambling down the mountain.
"Jungkook please, I'm over the age of consent, please!" Jimin called desperately, but Jungkook only walked faster. As they neared the camp, Jimin fell even further behind, until he didn't see Jungkook ahead of him anymore.
"Jungkook!" He skidded to a stop, listening and waiting, but all he heard was stillness. Jimin's face crumpled, and he sat down too hard on a rock on the side of the path, and held himself, and cried.
Jungkook:
He just wanted to disappear, to not exist, to evaporate like a raindrop in the wind.
"Jungkook please, I'm over the age of consent, please!" Jimin's voice called faintly at his back, and Jungkook scowled, and walked faster.
I might not be able to disappear, but at least I can get away from him.
And yet the thought of him brought the image to his mind--and suddenly it was like a reel of a million Jimins, smiling at him: the first time they met--the first time they kissed--the first time they fucked. Jimin on the sand, Jimin in the water, Jimin in the woods, Jimin in his bed.
The last thing Jungkook wanted was to get away from Jimin.
His feet faltered, slowed. Jimin... his heart felt like it was breaking.
