Jimin:

Montero fell into step beside him, and Jimin wondered what was in his head.

"I don't actually want to blackmail you," Jimin blurted out suddenly as they walked through the darkness, feeling guilty for intimating his friend.

"I'm not going to tell anyone, Jimin, I trust you not to do anything with that video, okay?"  Montero seemed sincere and unflustered, but Jimin couldn't place what his emotion was.

"What...?  You seem funny."

Montero stopped him before they got too near the cabin, to look him in the eyes as he answered.  His face was serious.

"Jimin, I—"

"What?"

"Look, I'm not gonna mess with you anymore, I promise, okay?"  He was completely sincere and Jimin's eyes narrowed at him like some kind of unexplained phenomenon.

"Just like that?"

Montero sighed.  "No, not just like that, Jimin.... Look... me and Yoongi and a lot of the other guys you fooled around with this summer, we would always talk about you,  you know, wonder who you'd ever give it up to..." He hesitated.

"So?" Jimin asked, quizzically.

Montero blushed; he appeared to be searching for the words he needed.

"Look, this is real shit, Jimin.  He wants to be with only you."

Jimin looked at him, even more confused now.  "I told you I was exclusive with—"

"Yeah but..." Montero rubbed the back of his neck.  "Look Jimin, I might want to fuck your brains out, but I don't love you the way he does, none of us do.  And you don't love any of us like you love him, either."   A small smile played on his face: something like sadness or regret or jealousy.

"This is special, what you guys have."  Montero squeezed Jimin's shoulder.  "It's good you lost your virginity to him—that you are with him.  I'm happy for you, it's..." he blushed "...like... fucking... true love or some shit, Jimin."  He smiled again and offered Jimin his hand to shake.  "Just friends from now on, I promise, okay?"

Jimin shook his hand, blushing deeper, grateful, and the two boys climbed into the window together.

Montero paused at his bed, tucked him in almost like a small child, and kissed his cheek.

"Friends?" He whispered in the darkness.

"Yes, please." Jimin smiled, and Montero smiled back.

And yet as Jimin fell asleep, he felt distinctly alone, and thought of what Jungkook had said:  I can't wait until camp ends and I can have you all to myself...

Even if you convinced your Dad to let you stay at Jungkook's mostly... it's a pretty big secret you are keeping from him.  He doesn't know yet that he's still sharing you with an entire high school career...

Jimin swallowed, and felt more alone than ever, just hoping that Montero was right, that Jungkook loved him so much that it would all be okay...somehow.
