You hate that you are affected by Yangyang's remarks most of the time. He used to drop random, cringey lines.
But these days, his words have weight.
You really hate assuming, especially with a guy like him, popular and famous and capable of having everything he ever sets his mind. Yet, no matter how much he makes your brain messed up, you never talk about it to anyone. You will never.
His wish to have you think of him all day came true.
The mystery about his identity adds up. Even after the talk and conversation you had with him, you still can't seem to know anything about his background, or what his personality is.
"I have no money!" You fake cried to Yujin who's busy eating her meal.
"Stop. Nudging. My. Arms. I'm eating!" She also fake cried, making the two of you look quite crazy in a park.
You have a friendly date with her today, strolling around the familiar streets of the community to clear each other's mind. It's about lunch time and just on a humble convenience store, with pocket friendly prices, you bought spicy instant noodles.
"Do you have any plans for your college?" Yujin asked, a solemn look somehow found in her face. "I don't know about you, but I feel like taking a break for a moment. I want to know what I really want first. How about you?"
"I do want to be a cardiologist. But.. adulting is hard. Because when you have the capability to do things you want, you don't know what you want. But when you do have a dream you want to achieve, there's almost little to no way to achieve it," You sighed in stress, drinking your bottled water.
"Oh, must be in your family?" She patted your back softly. "It will all fall back into place."
"Goodluck to your college path too," You smiled shortly. "I'll be here whenever."
"I hope what's happening don't consume your mind too much."
"I've been thinking about something, honestly. This takes of my mind for a moment," You nervously scratched the back of your head.
And you're referring to Yangyang's stupid lines towards you every single day he had the chance to say it.
"Care to share?" Yujin nudged you. "Is it about acads? I can listen to your rants, even when I'm not even listening to our professor."
You snorted a little and sighed, "Do you ever meet someone with.. mixed signals.. or something?"
Yujin gasped dramatically, "So it's about a boy?!"
"N-No!"
"Girl?!"
"No!" You facepalmed. "I mean, nevermind. Let's just go ride a carousel or something."
"Tell me about it! Promise, I won't tease you!" Yujin dropped everything infront of her, even her chopsticks and look at you attentively with an anticipating smile. "Please?"
"I.. I don't know, I might just be assuming or something," You eventually gave in and open a piece of you to her.
She clapped her hands while smiling, which made you sigh in disbelief. She really has the audacity to enjoy the monent right now. "Y/N, trust your instinct. As I see it, you don't usually jump into conclusions. And you're not full of yourself, so whoever that person is, he is indeed giving mixed signals. Or maybe a she. I don't know, both can fall for you."
You shook your head, "You don't get it.. That person jokes a lot. Or fools around m-- around everyone."
You had to cut your words off because the moment you say he fools a lot around you, Yujin will have an idea who it is.
