The two best friends sat for a while as the crowd started to head towards the exits after realizing that Wyatt Mason wouldn't be coming back on stage again.
Finally, after the crowd was more sparce, they made their way up the stairs. Paige hugged the jacket close to her as she didn't want anyone taking it out of her hands.
Reaching the exit, they made their way back into the big, rounded hallway. There were thousands of people trying to make their ways out of the stadium. The two best friends grabbed each other's hand and pushed their way through the crowd.
They were making headway when a girl noticed the jacket in Paige's arms.
"Look", the girl exclaimed pointing at Paige, "It's the girl who got Wyatt Mason's jacket".
Paige's head shot up and looked at the girl. The girl looked to be sixteen and was accompanied by her mom. Paige knew she wouldn't do anything, so she turned her head and her and her best friend pushed a little quicker to get out of the stadium.
Many others noted and pointed to Paige as she snuck her way through the crowd. Madeline was pulling Paige behind her, as she was taller than Paige and was able to see where there were spaces to go through.
They finally made it down the stairs and out the main doors. They made their trek to the car, immediately regretting where they parked. Paige's feet were aching in the new heels.
They weaved their way through many parked cars, finally reaching the parking lot where they had parked. Unlocking the car and getting in, Paige took of her shoes and set them in the back. She also laid the jacket on the back seat, not wanting to think about what had happened at the concert.
But her best friend had other ideas. As Paige started the car and started to pull out of the parking lot, the questions started.
"What the heck happened in there? Did you see how he looked at you? And he gave you your jacket? And let's not even start at the number of times he touched your hand or even looked at you! That was INSANE! There is no way that he's ever done that with any other girl at any other of his shows!"
Paige knew thought, that he hadn't. He hadn't done that before. She had watched every one of his live shows online, and not once did he let alone take off his jacket. This just played at Paige's mind, why did he do it with her then?
Paige let Madeline go on and on about the concert and her theories, but Paige never answered what she thought about it. She tried to keep her thoughts on other things, but she couldn't stop thinking about the way Wyatt Mason had looked at her. Just thinking about it made her cheeks turn red and gave her butterflies.
They cruised down the highway quicker than when they were headed to the concert. Before they knew it, Paige turned off at the Loveland exit and made their way home.
Paige pulled into the driveway and turned off the car. Madeline hopped out and said goodbye to her best friend. Paige watched as Madeline crossed over to her house. Before going in she waved over to her best friend.
Paige grabbed her shoes and the jacket from the back seat. She opened the garage door and headed inside, closing it behind her. She knew her parents were asleep and so she grabbed a glass of water and made her way upstairs to her bedroom.
Turning on her light, she closed the door behind her. She walked over to her full-length mirror and staired at herself. She had flushed skin but other than that her hair and makeup were still perfectly done. She thanked her best friend in her head and looked at the jacket in her hands.
It was a great quality jacket. She lifted it up to smell it and wished she hadn't. It smelt so good. It smelled of cedarwood, lavender, and bergamot orange. Paige inhaled the scent again and it sent shivers up her body. It was as if the smell captured the very sensation she was feeling.
