It's my fourth day at school and I start tutoring tomorrow. It's just what I need to add to my busy week. I have no idea who the first student is, but all I know is that I've been hired to tutor someone for maths. My day first starts off with me pulling up in my new blue car while blasting Bruno Mars. I turn off the music and get out of my car to see everyone staring at me and my new car.

"Is that the new kid?"

"I think so,"

"What's his name again?"

"I'm not sure but he is sooo hot!" I roll my eyes at that one. I ignore them and head to my first class, ELA. I sit down in my seat and look at the board for today's lesson. Oh wait. We are working on the essay today. This class has gotten very boring since I finished it on monday. But since I've been listening to Bruno Mars, it hasn't been torture. I look over Aiko and see her drawing in her notebook. I lean over to see her drawing what looks like Jinx and the guy (I still don't know his name) with evil faces and staring at what looks like Aiko. She looks up and sees me looking and her face gets red.

"Are you serious?!" She yells. "Can't you just mind your own business?!"

"Sorry," I apologise. "I didn't know you liked to draw."

"It's okay. I like to draw but I'm not good," She says.

"That looks good to me," I explain.

"Thanks, but no thanks," Aiko snaps. I sigh and turn back to my desk. I pull out my computer and start working on my tutoring assignments. Since my first student is in maths, and all I know is that they are in the same grade as me, it should be really easy to work with them.

Classes go by really easily. It's not long until I have to go to Lunch. It's been really easy finding a place to sit, which is surprising because I'm the new kid, and it's the middle of the year, but I found this table at the far end of the cafeteria, so I sit there. I don't really mind sitting by myself, because I have my music with me, but today, Dexter, who I met yesterday, comes to my table.

"Can I sit here?" He asks.

"Sure,"

"How's classes going?"

"Okay," Damn. This conversation is not going well.

"Have you been able to keep up with classes?"

"Oh, yeah, they've actually been really easy,"

"What about your days outside of school?" Dexter asks.

"Well, it's been kind of hard moving in, and tomorrow, I have to start tutoring for maths, but the rest of the week has been great," I explain, leaving out the fact that I moved into a house with an incredibly rich step-father.

"Dang, that must suck. Having to start tutoring tomorrow. Do you know who your first student is?"

"All I know is that they are in my grade. I just hope it won't be like hell."

"I don't know, what if it's like, one of those jerk girls that hang around Aiko..."

"You don't wanna mess with them so if it is them, good luck." he says, turning away with a smirk on his face.

I shove him a little, "Come on, man, you're supposed to make me feel better!"

"Whatever," Dexter laughs.

I laugh with him, even though I know today's gonna suck.

I get home, same as always: eat a snack, help my siblings, then do homework. But today I have twice the homework because I need to finish planning a lesson for tutoring. So, this person is a level below me, meaning they are doing Algebra two, so I can start with the basics then we'll move onto a practice test since that class has a test in a few weeks. Their teacher (Mr Cunningham) allowed me to use the lesson plan books he uses for his lessons so I can better teach my student.

As much as I want to die, the more I work I'm getting slightly more excited to meet my student. Maybe they'll be a big fan of Bruno Mars (I got tickets recently to his concert since he's coming to New Jersey). Or maybe I could bring Dexter, if he was into that sort of thing. Crossing my fingers.
