Four Years Later

"Oh Santi. Don't stop."

"Fuck Peyton, you feel so good." He growls.

"Please go harder. I'm almost there."

"Let me have it, P." He bites my nipple.

"Santi!" I scream as I release with Santi coming right behind me. "You always leave me satisfied."

"Glad I could be of service." Santiago smirks at me before rolling over and lying beside me. "You never disappoint me either."

"I'm loving being friends with benefits with you. All the pleasure and none of the drama of a relationship."

"It's what I do best mama. You know I'm not a relationship kind of guy."

"That is one thing about you that I am thankful for." I say rolling over to lay on his chest. "Every other guy I've tried this with has always gotten attached, so I had to drop them."

"What caused you to be so cold when it comes to relationships?" He asks.

"Let's just say, I know what betrayal feels like." I huff. "I refuse to give any man that kind of control over me ever again."

"I guess we are more alike than we thought."

"Someone betrayed you too?" I ask.

"You could say that."

"Well, I'm sorry that happened to you and to me."

"Me too. Let's get some sleep."

Santi doses off while I just lay there thinking of the past and how it got me to where I am now. I often wonder if AJ would have never betrayed me where we would be today. Don't get me wrong, this thing Santi and I have been doing over the last eight months has been very pleasurable, but I do miss having someone to share every piece of my life with. Someone I can talk to and that will be there for me when I just don't feel myself. Someone who is willing to give themselves to me like I used to be willing to do before AJ broke me. Now I know I will never have that in fear of being broken again.

I am finally able to dose off, but it doesn't feel like I have slept long when I hear Santi's phone ring and feel him move under me. I sit up and see him sitting on the edge of my bed talking to the person on the other end of the line. He hangs up, and when he turns to face me, I know that he has to go.

"That was my boss. I have to go."

"At three in the morning." I say glancing at the clock on my bedside table.

"Yeah. You know how my job works. When the boss calls, I go." He stands up getting dressed.

"I understand. Just be careful. I may need your services in the near future." I smirk.

"Oh, I can't wait." He leans over giving me a kiss before walking out the door.

Flopping back over in the bed, I know I need to get some sleep. I have a very long day tomorrow at the bakery. There so many orders that have to go out and I don't know how we'll get them all done. Don't get me wrong, I am thankful for all the business, but it can get stressful at times. I am so happy that I have Natalie working with me, she is a life saver during hectic times. Plus, she is a wonderful cake and cookie decorator. Finally, I fall back to sleep around four and sleep so peacefully until I hear banging on my front door.

I glance at my bedside clock once again and see it is now eight. I usually don't get up till nine, I groan to myself. We don't open the shop until ten so whoever it is, is interrupting my beauty sleep for no reason. Rolling out of bed, I grab my shirt and short off the floor, pulling them on and head for the door. Yanking the door open, I see one of my best friends standing there smiling at me. God, I love this girl. She is always there for me no matter what.
