AJ' POV

The day of my night club opening is finally here. I have worked so hard over these last four years after taking over the MC. Not to brag, but I have accomplished so much in my twenty-nine years of life. When I took over this MC after my father retired, I gained a lot, but I also lost the one person I ever truly loved. I knew I couldn't have her and run this club too. Bringing her into this life wasn't an option, not for me anyway. Sometimes I don't know what hurts more, the thought of her dealing with what I do on a daily basis or losing her completely, knowing she'll never be mine again. There isn't a day that goes by that she doesn't run through my mind, wishing I could she her smile at me or feel her run her hands through my hair one more time. I know the way I lost her could have been handled differently, but I had to do something that I knew would make her leave me for good. I couldn't risk her forgiving me and wanting to stick around. She means too much to me for her to be corrupted by the things that I have had to do myself or have ordered others to do.

"You ready for tonight?" I hear Santiago my VP ask.

"Yeah. I just hope everything goes as planned and we don't have any unwanted guest show up."

"We should be fine. I ordered some of the guys to monitor the Scorpions while the party is going on. If anything comes up, they are to call me immediately."

"Thanks. I have been so busy trying to get this place up and running that monitoring them never ever crossed my mind."

"That's what I am here for boss."

"I appreciated all you have done to help me get through all this." I state.

"No problem. Did Nathan tell you that he is bringing his girl tonight and she is bringing some of her friends along?"

"Yeah, he did. I told him I was fine with it as long as none of them started any trouble. He reassured me that this group of people aren't the ones to start anything. If he trusts them then I am willing to give them a chance."

"On that note, I'm going to leave you with your thoughts. Nathan said his girl and her friends should be here around nine, and I can't wait to meet the girl that has the patience to put up with him." Santiago laughs as he walks out of my office door.

Although I took over the MC four years ago, no one knows my real name or what I look like. My father started this and I kept with it when he handed it over to me. Only my family and the ones in my club know me by AJ or boss, everyone else knows me by Dementor, and that's the way I like it. The less people that know my true identity, the less likely my family is to be in danger.

Rising from my desk, I walk over to the one-way window that overlooks the night club below. This place is more packed than I thought it would be for opening night, not that I am complaining. The more people here, the more money I make. As I let my eyes roam over the room from one side to the other, my eyes focus on something, or should I say someone, that has my blood boiling. What is she doing here, and why is she all over Santiago? She is sitting in his lap and laughing at something he says, while his hands roam over her body. When she leans in to kiss him, it takes everything in me to not go down there and rip her from his arms. I can feel the anger raging to escape and I know that I have to calm down before going down there, so I don't cause a scene. I walk back to my desk and pour myself a glass a scotch to try to calm myself. After several minutes and a few glasses later, I have composed myself enough to approach them. When I walk into the VIP area she is nowhere to be seen. About ten minutes later she returns and completely ignores my presence. She sits back down in Santiago's lap and he pulls her into a kiss. A growl escapes my throat before I can stop it and I finally speak up.

"Peyton."

"AJ."  She says turning to look at me.

"What are you doing here?" I ask.
