I tied my hair into a low bun, leaving a few strands out in the front.

I walked in my closet and paired a oversized white button up shirt with some white shorts and af1's.

I stood at my dresser, putting on my rings of choice. I clipped my diamond cuban link around my neck and fastened my stainless steel watch onto my wrist.

I have to go by Carlos's house pick up the money he owes me. Today is his deadline. Let's hope he has the full amount this time.

I pulled my top drawer open, picking up my beloved black gun and the microfiber rag next to it. I took my time, wiping its surface clean of any dust, hair, or fingerprints.

My phone vibrated. The screen lit up, displaying Naomi's name. I answered the call, putting the phone on speaker.

...

"Hey Bil."

"Hey."
"Everything alright?"

"Um y-yeah, totally."
"Actually, I have a favor to ask of you."

"Um alright. Ask away."

"You're not busy right now, are you?"

"Uh not really. I was just heading out.
I have a thing to do."

"Well, in that case I'll just leave you alone."

"No it's okay. What was the favor?"

"I was wondering if you could...
give me ride to work?"

"..."

"I-I know it's like really random and
I've never ask you things like this,
but it'll be a one time thing and-"

"Naomi, chill out."
"I don't have a problem with it."

"Oh thank god."
"I just didn't have anyone else
and you were kinda like my last option."

"Last option? Ouch."

"What? No! You know that's not what I-"

"I'm just messin' with you."
"I'll be there in a few. Send me the address."

...

This definitely wasn't on my list of things to do but I can make it work.

I placed the gun behind the waistband of my pants, put my phone in my pocket, and grabbed my keys.

After some time on the road I pulled into the gates of Naomi's apartment complex. I sent her a text to let her know I was outside and within a few minutes she walked out the building.

I got out the car and went over to the passenger side, opening the door for her. She approached the car with a duffel bag on her arm and miscellaneous items in her hands.

"Need any help with that?" I asked, patiently holding the door open.

"No I'm good, but thank you."

She threw all her belongings on her lap once she settled down in her seat. I gently closed the door before walking back to my side and getting in.
