DUSK TILL DAWN | FOUR. FIVE
"GLIMPSE OF US"
PROTÉGÉJAMES PACED HIS ROOM. He had been thirsty for real human blood for months. He wanted his mate. Without her he had been wanting to revert to his natural ways. He was a vampire. He shouldn't have to deny himself the right to feast on humans.
"Could you stop pacing and thinking? You're giving me a headache." Edward said as he watched the city of love with a sad look on his face. He was in Paris but his heart was still in Forks with the only woman he ever loved.
James' snapped his head towards the vampire. He sped close to Edward who only sighed at his dramatics. James grabbed Edward by the collar. "You! This is all your fault!"
Edward rolled his dull eyes at him. "I wasn't the one who almost killed her."
"We could've stayed in Forks and been happy!" James gritted out.
Edward scoffed. "And risk you getting angry and lashing out on her. No thanks. She would be good as dead."
"There are demons after her and we left her! She's probably already dead! If we would've stayed we could have protected her!" James growled.
"She probably would have died at the hands of you and Jasper anyway. You not only tried to feed from her once, but twice in the same night! It's your fault we even have to leave Forks!" Edward spat at him. He couldn't believe James was turning on him like this. It was him who couldn't control his need for blood. It was him who was willing to kill everyone just for a taste of blood. Her blood.
James' nose flared in anger as he let out a menacing growl, throwing Edward across the room in a fit of anger. Edward hit the book shelf that stood in room now broke. He sighed as he tried to get back up but James sped towards him kicking him. Edward caught his foot and flipped him on the ground.
Edward sighed. "James let's not do this tonight."
James let out a growl and got back up throwing a punch but Edward dodged it. He threw another punch but Edward leaned away from it. James kept throwing punches that Edward dodged.
It was like clockwork at this point. Everyday James would get himself worked up, Edward would tell him to stop, and James would attack him. It happened so often that Edward had learned all of James' moves.
James threw a punch and Edward grabbed his fist. "Enough!" He growled. "Aren't you sick of all our fighting?"
"No." James growled banging his head onto Edward's. Edward stumbled back and fell.
