"I know, sige na. Gumayak ka na at baka ikaw naman ang ma-late."
I always let him feel that I'm his number one fan, that I'll always listen to his voice whenever he's singing.
Kyle, is my crush, idol, and my first boyfriend. Halos mag dadalawang taon na kami at hanggang ngayon kahit busy siya sa mga gigs at acads niya ay palagi niyang sinisigurado na magkaroon kami ng quality time, ni hindi rin niya nakakalimutan ang mga monthsary namin, he always make sure that we're okay... Unti-unting pumapatak na ang ulan habang nasa waiting shed ako nang tumawag si Kyle, mabuti na lang at maaga pa at makakapag abang pa ako ng taxi.
"Ano na? Sisiputin ka pa ba ng jowa mo, sis? Mukhang nakalimutan pa ata ang anniversary niyo. Naku, ha. Madalang ko ng nakikita kayong lumabas ni Kyle, Casey." Sabi ni Tina, kaibigan ko na tumulong sa'kin mag luto.
Tinignan ko ang mga niluto kong ulam at bagong bake na chiffon cake na may nakalagay na happy second anniversary.
"Medyo busy kase si Kyle at malapit na ang finals, Tina."
"Hmm, sige, sabi mo eh. Mauna na ako, sis ha at may date pa ako."
Tatlong oras na nang umalis si Tina pero hindi pa rin dumarating si Kyle.
Muli kong tinignan ang nakasabit na orasan at napagtantong mag aalos-onse na at inaantok na rin ako pero gusto ko pang hintayin si Kyle, impossibleng makalimutan niya, si Kyle pa.
Hanggang sa hindi ko na namalayan ang oras at naalimpungatan lang nang may humalik sa noo ko at yumakap sa'kin mula sa likod, naramdaman ko na lang na nasa Kama na kami.
"Babe, I'm sorry. I'm late, Happy Anniversary."
I hugged him back and just accepted his apology thinking he was tired from today.
I thought that will be the last time na may makakalimutan siya sa'min at magkakaroon na ulit siya ng time sa relationship namin but as the days, weeks, months, and year passed...
"Sikat na sikat na talaga si Kyle, Casey!" Sigaw ni Tina dahil sa lakas ng hiyawan dito ng mga tao ay halos di na kami magkarinigan.
"Agreed at sobrang proud ako sa kaniya." I smiled genuinely. Even from afar, I know how handsome he is, how well he is, how happy he is because he finally achieved one of his greatest dream.
I knew it he'll get over me, I knew he can sing without me, that sacrifice of letting him go is worth it, even if it hurts.
He got an offer from abroad, his family, friends, band mates was so proud of him na halos paalisin na siya kaagad para lang lumawas kaagad because they all thought it will be one of the steps to make him and his music known na we can still continue our relationship through LDR.
But he refuse, he doesn't want to leave me and I can't go with him abroad because I still have a lot of responsibilities here.
So, I chose I thought the only best choice that I have letting him go, ending it because no matter how far he go, I'll always watch him even from afar.
Because I'll be the greatest fan of his life.
