~ENVY~
A little green monster clung to her back,
And at her relationships it did hack,
In strength and deceit it did not lack,
And slowly her soul it did sack.
She felt anger and entitlement to all,
With no concern of her impending fall,
And not a second of thought for such gall,
And not a care for those who cared not for a squall.
Her desires for things that others possessed,
Was nothing but a heavy weight on her chest,
That never seemed to offer her rest,
And would never allow her to feel blessed.
She nurtured the ugly sin of envy,
And slowly she was sent into a wild frenzy,
Her thoughts slowly turning crazy,
And now her future’s hope has become hazy.
