"My stars Steven, we don't need it!"

"Yes, we do!"

"We. don't. Need. It."

"Yes. We. Do."

"Would the two of you please stop fighting!" Pearl yelled.

You and Steven were currently at the beach house fighting over whether bringing Steven's cheeseburger backpack was a good idea. You held on to one backpack strap as Steven held on to the other; you both tugged and pulled until Steven won using his gem strength.

"No fair," you pouted.

"I'm bringing it, too bad," he said smugly.

You crossed your arms, "whatever," you said walking towards the warp pad. You, Steven, and the gems stood on the warp pad.

"Can I do it, can I?" Steven asked jumping up and down. Garnet nodded as Steven put his arms out and warped everyone. "Warp master Steven," he said making you roll your eyes.

The five of you continued to float in mid-air as you were all being warped. Steven began floating higher than everyone else, which caused Garnet to grab his ankle, "What's our mission?" She asked as she brought Steven down.

"Secure the magic pillow thingy," You said in a serious tone. You were ecstatic about this mission and had no plans of messing it up.

"Good," she nodded.

Once again, the five of you stood in the warp stream... well Steven tried at least as he couldn't stop himself from continuously flipping. You spaced out as you constantly recalled the mission in your head. The five of you were heading to the desert to retrieve some sort of magic pillow that was creating sand structures. Garnet said it was a high-level difficulty mission; she even entrusted you with the most important role.

"(y/n)," Garnet said pulling you away from the group. "Listen to me carefully," holding your shoulders, she continued, "this mission isn't going to be easy, that's why I'm entrusting you with the most crucial role."

"I'm listening," you said determinedly.

"Good," she smiled, "Your job is to watch over Steven," she walked away.

"Yes ma'am!" You shouted as you saluted.

"I'm getting," Steven flipped, "really," he flipped again, "dizzy."

"Steven your gonna get sick," Pearl said grabbing him.

"Ah Pearl, I wanted to see how long it took until he puked his brains out," Amethyst snickered.

"Uh guys," he said holding his stomach, "I don't feel so- "

"There it is," You and Amethyst laughed as Pearl wiped puke off her face. Steven gave Pearl a sorry look as she wiped the puke off while muttering about how gross human organs were.

"Sorry Pearl," he said sheepishly.

"It's fine," she sighed.

The warp stream came to a stop as all of you-- the four of you landed on your feet. "I'm ok," Steven said after he faceplanted. The gems stepped off the warp pad as you followed. You looked around and noticed it was...

Pretty barren, it's a desert, what did you expect.

"Guys, it's pretty hot isn't it?" You looked over at Steven and had to hold back a laugh; the man was absolutely drenched in sweat.
