Episode 7: a star is born

Kingston, Lily and I walk into studio A because Nick called a couple of us in and we're quite sure what it's about.
"So why'd you think Nick called us in?" Lily asks.
"I don't know maybe because he just wanted the best dancers."
"That explains why I'm here, but why are you here." I ask Kingston sarcastically.
"Ha ha ha so funny." He replies.
Kingston and I have a very sarcastic friendship. Ozzy and I kind of the same except in a romantic way, there's nothing romantic about Kingston and I it's simply just sarcasm. I actually think Lily and him would be good together, Ozzy and I have spoken about it a few times before. He's still on the fence about it.
Hanging out with Lily and Kingston today is actually going to be really fun, I love Ozzy and all but it's nice to spend time with our other friends as well. We kind of like separation anxiety from each other so its nice to spend time with friends even if we miss each other all day.

". Hello. Hello what's up everybody. Lights, camera, action. Jade is in the house."
What in the world is Jade doing here!? She's the host of supernova superstar.
"Oh my god you guys look so good. It's so nice to meet you."
I can not wait to tell Ozzy about this.
"Do you guys have names?"
"Uh Piper."
Summer."
Henry."
"Henry"
"Kingston."
"Harper." We all say with a small wave.
"Now are these the boring dancers you wanted me too...?" She quietly asks Nick who is now standing out here with Emily.
Boring? We're not boring we're practical.
"So today is going to be all about getting out of your comfort zone. So today we're gonna be breaking you down to build you back up into something magnificent.
Ok you guys are good dancers, but if you wanna be memorable, if you want to be special, you'll listen to every word I have to say. If you give me one shred of inauthenticity, it'll tell."

Jade has asked each of us to do a solo that showcase our authentic self.
Jade has never seen us dance before so I need to make a perfect first impression.

"So your not trash. That's the good news. Listen you can all dance but we knew that. If you wanna break through, you have to dig so much deeper.
Your all hiding a piece of yourselves."
How can she tell by my dancing that I have something to hide.

Jade's giving honest feedback on our dancing. I hope I impressed her.
"How do you think you did?"
"Pretty okay."
"Honestly, you have a fun and sarcastic side to you and your only showing it to people your close to. Why don't you show that side to other people?"
Honestly I feel like if I show that side to other people they'll think I'm being serious and I don't want any drama to start when I can just be sarcastic around my friends and they know exactly what I mean.

"Sorry the five lists has gone to four but the show must go on."
Kingston had to leave because he's mum found out he wasn't at babysitting so he left.
"So we're gonna do this one more time. This time I want you to show me a side of yourselves that scares you a little bit. Tv audiences are savvy and theyre savage."
It's a little weird that Jade keeps mentioning tv. I mean we're just going to nationals.
"They don't wanna just see athletes. They don't wanna just see robots or this fakery. They want the authentic you.
So this time dance captain, you are going to be doing the critiquing."
I'm really not sure how's Summer is going to handle this but she's dance captain so she needs to pick it up. In all honestly I think the dance captain spot should go to Richelle. She would make the perfect dance captain, Summer is just too worried about hurting someone's feelings.

"Alright time to show the world who you really are. Now Summer here is not going to be holding back when it comes to critiques because tv isn't always nice, isn't that right Summer? By the end of the day you guys will be walking the red carpet like pros."
Did jade just say red carpet? What does a red carpet have to do with a dance competition.

"Give me a smile." Summer says to me as I'm dancing. Honestly Summer is doing a lot better then I though. I guess I could dial it up a notch or two. "Beautiful."
"Don't hide behind your smile Henry. Just be real. We can tell this ain't you."
"Your right, this isn't me. I shouldn't have to hate my soul, or be critiqued by you, of all people." Henry says as Jade, Lily, Piper and I all just look at each other awkwardly.
Henry then just walks out of studio A.

"Alright dancers, it's time for the red carpet."Jade broke us down, built us back up and now it's time to show everyone the new and improved us. So we're walking the red carpet as a final test, to prove that we've embraced our authentic selves.
Kingston is going to be sorry he missed out on this.
"Thank you so much, our red carpet celebrities.
Wow I have to say, I've had such a phenomenal time here with each and everyone of you. I think it's official. You are reality tv ready. Dance mania is not going to know what hit it."
"We're gonna be on a reality tv show?" I ask in shock. We all start squealing and cheering. That's why she's been talking about tv all day. We're going to be auditioning for a reality tv show and not any reality tv show dancemania!
