Slowly blinking, Lappland awoke to the sight of the same white ceiling. She moved her arm, it was free of stones. She looked down to find Texas sleeping on a chair at the foot of her bed. She smiled, free of pain. She felt free for once in her life. She no longer felt the stabbing pain of those horrendous rocks. Her thigh was free of rocks. It was like magic, all the deep hole of where the rocks used to be, sealed themselves. The flesh somehow multiplied to more flesh to fill up her injuries.

She was amazed by the cure. She was amazed by how effective it was. Texas stirred to Lappland's slight movements. She looked up quickly to find Lappland awake, smiling at her. It wasn't a jackal grin. It was warm, loving, just like the old Lappland. The Lappland she had always loved.

"What day is it today?" Lappland croaked, "uh Tex-?"

She was ambushed by a warm hug, and felt the moist tears that dropped onto her medical shirt.

"Lappland, Lappland, Lappland! Y-you're alive. Oh my gosh, you're actually alive!" Texas said, breathing heavily, "I thought I would lose you forever!"

Lappland smiled, and hugged back, freeing herself of the IV drip, "Yes, I am back. I remember everything. I remember everything we have done together when we were little. The times I punched your bullies. The times that I failed every quiz and every test. Our little adventures. And that for a fact, we have not ever murdered so many people in our lives."

Texas nodded slightly and smiled, hugging Lappland closer. She released Lappland and stared at Lappland once again, kissing her deeply.

It was long and passionate, one of the most loving kisses they have ever given each other.

"I love you," they had said to each other that day.

"You're free to go, Lappland," Ansel said, waving his clipboard, "All stable. So far, you're my most favorite patient, Lappland. I have learned a lot thanks to you both."

Lappland nodded, smiling, "Of course! I am really thankful to you for saving my life! I don't know how to express my gratitude!"

Ansel shook his head, "You do not have to do anything. Just live your life happily, and create memories. I will be happy enough this way."

Lappland nodded, "Alright!" Texas tugged Lappland's sleeve.

"Alright, alright. We'll head back to base," she laughed, but not the barking laugh, the soft and gentle one.

Texas smiled, happy that Lappland was still alive standing before her. Happy to feel that Lappland was no longer cold, but warm. Happy to see that the stones that used to cover Lappland's legs were gone.

The two girls walked down the Lungmen sidewalk holding hands.

"Sometimes I still can't believe that I'm walking these streets normally. Without anyone staring at those abnormal stones. I feel like I can finally breathe the crisp air, like it is rightfully mine. I can even wear pants that cover the expanse of my leg, instead of shorts. Like damn, the winter is so cold," Lappland said with closed eyes and smiling.

"Yeah, I always wonder how you can survive the cold," Texas said, "But I guess you were that kind of strong girl."

Lappland laughed softly, "Well, I have been long accustomed to it ever since Siracusa."

Texas stayed silent for a while.

"It must have been terrible for you back then," Texas said, fidgeting with her fingers.

Lappland chuckled, "No, it's quite alright. I got to have the camping experience!"

There was a pause, "And stealing."

They laughed. "Of course you would steal, I can't imagine you not," Texas said, stuffing her hands in her Cambodian jacket. Lappland, seeing this chance, stuffed her own hands in Texas' pockets.

"Damn, that's warm!" Lappland said, astonished, "Man, I must really be cold!"

"Were you so used to it that you never noticed?" Texas said, slowing down as they approached headquarters doors.

"Yea, I guess so. I thought my temperature was normal," Lappland said, "If I was this warm, I would be so happy."

"Well, let's say hi to our members before setting off to get you some clothes, yeah?" Texas said, unlocking the door.

"Sure," Lappland said. The doors opened and they stepped inside. It was much warmer compared to the outside. Texas took off her jacket and hung it on a hanger.

"I'm back!" Texas yelled.

Not long after, the red head, blondie, and orange head appeared by the door.

"Yo! Lappland's back!" Croissant said, grinning.

Exusiai walked to Texas and patted her shoulder, "You doing good?"

Texas smiled, "Better than ever."

"Good."

Emperor appeared at the door and said, "Guys, why don't we come in and talk about the future, yea?"

"Yes, boss!" they all said.

It was dark at night in the city. The yellow lights illuminated from the window. Lungmen citizens walked along the streets, laughing. And among those, were Texas and Lappland, holding tons of bags.

"I can finally wear long jeans, sweats, cargo pants, leggings, and that shit. I'm so relieved," Lappland said, blowing out air seeing the cloud of gas appear in the air.

"Yep, and now you have your own fluffy jacket," Texas said, "Just the opposite color. Black. Black looks good on you."

"Maybe that's because I always wear that color," Lappland laughed.

"Yea, that may be true. I wonder what you'd look like if you wore leggings with your refined horrormare outfit?" Texas said, crossing her arms.

"Betcha I would look great!" Lappland said, seemingly proud of herself.

"Let's get Exu and Mostima over, so we can eat McDonalds. Exu would go crazy over apple pie," Texas said, laughing as she remembered the funny moments.

"Oh really? Now I'm intrigued," Lappland said, "I want to see this."

* * *

"U-uhh," Lappland said, astonished to see the amount of apple pies that were ordered, "Do you not eat anything else?"

Exusiai laughed, "NOPE! I LOVE apple pie!"

Mostima covered her mouth, laughing, "That's my Exu for you."

Exusiai turned red, "S-shut up Mosty!"

Texas grinned, "Look at my bestie getting herself a girlfriend."

"Silence!" Exusiai said, hiding her face into her hands.

Lappland laughed heartily, "Of course Texas' friends would be some kind of cute."

They all went silent and stared at Lappland, wide-eyed.

"Uh, I'm cute?" Mostima said, "I thought I was more pretty than cute."

Lappland came into realization, "Bro! I meant personality wise!"

They laughed. And they spent the night, laughing together and eating wonderful apple pie.
