Blake's Pov

"Hey Sammi, wanna go swing?" Finley asked holding her hands out. "Will B come too?" Finley looked over to me raising her eyebrow and slightly nudged her head toward Arex. "Yeah, I will Sama- Sammi, I will swing with you just not right now. But I will be over there soon, ok?" Samantha nodded happily and Finley picked her up. The two girls and Ryder all went over to the swings.

I knew what she was doing, and by the looks of it, so did Arex. "Very subtle Finley, very subtle." Arex came over to the side I was sitting on. "I'm guessing Fin did this on purpose to get us alone together.?"

"Yup."

"Hey, are you sure that what Archer said didn't hurt you?"

"Yes, I am sure, I am used to the negative comments from people, lord knows I have heard my fair share growing up." He nodded, "Oh yeah, I guess, being a model and all. Anyway, what have you been up to all these years?"

shit. "Oh, nothing much, mostly hanging out with Jonathon and gardening. What about you?"

"Oh, yeah, I remember your flower garden, it's beautiful." I nod in appreciation. "Well, after you had disappeared, I was confused and worried for like a month, everyone thought it was a bit weird considering we had only met that day, but I don't know, I felt like we had this sort of connection. Anyway, I had joined the track team and got good at running, I was crowned prom king senior year, so that was pretty cool. I got a scholarship for this big out-of-state college but didn't want to leave my family, so I decided to stay local. All of my classmates thought I was crazy, but I don't care."

I'm not going to lie, that made me jealous. Everything he got to experience was everything I dreamed of. Madilyn was crowned prom queen her senior year and Christian was basically going to be king but they left before prom. I was bound to because it was my 'legacy' and my family pretty mich owned the town, but  you know how that went. And I cannot do what I love anymore because that would require me to use my legs, that do not fucking work. calm down Blake, deep breath in, and exhale. "Wow, that is amazing Arex. Good for you." I smiled keeping my true feelings down deep inside where no one could find them. Emotion means weakness and Thomas' are not weak. "Thanks." He looked a bit worried, probably because of what he said about our connection. "And I felt that connection too," I said smiling softly.

His eyes lit up, "Really?" he asked in disbelief. "Yeah, that's partially why I wanted to meet, to see if that spark, or whatever you want to call it, is still there. Unless I am being too bold, sorry I am not use to this whole, romance thing. Nevermind I am just going to shut up now because I am making a fool of myself. I am going to go swing before I can embarrass myself any further-"

"Blake, it's ok, you're not making a fool of yourself. I'm not exactly an expert either. And I like that idea of 'rekindling our romance" he said with a small chuckle.

"Ok," I replied shyly. "Ok," he nodded in agreement. "Wanna go on a little walk, or stroll I guess, around the park?" Arex asked me cautiously.

"I would love to, but if we go for a while, I might need you to push me, my arms get tired quickly."

"Perfectly fine with me, in fact, I'll push you the whole time, you just sit there and enjoy my company and the view." Before I could say anything, he ran behind me and started pushing my chair catching me off guard causing me to squeal out loud. "Arex!" I laughed. Like actually laughed, I have not laughed like that in who knows how long. It felt good.
