~~~7 years ago~~~
Jazzy met Evie at her window again, "Ready?" Evie nodded nervously, "good cause we were leaving now either way. Meet me at the door," and again like clockwork Jazzy skillfully dropped to the ground ten feet below.
Evie ran downstairs and met Jazzy who was now leaning on the guardrail. "What if Mal or Maleficent sees me?" Evie asked fear coursing through her body as she holds on to Jazzy's arm.
The shadow girl pushed her off, "Don't worry about that, Maleficent only comes to the Sinister society on Wednesday's as for Mal, well don't worry about her. And don't touch me unless I say you can," she snapped. They walked in silence the rest of the way.
The four children had been part of the Sinister Society for the last three years, since Ella was seven. It was Madame Medusa's place and when Ella had approached her asking for a place to carry out her business, business that was usually much more gruesome than todays. Their room had seen more than its fair share of bloodshed and get away from her mother, Medusa saw a way to climb the isles social ranks and hopefully put her in the royal fours' good graces. Medusa made sure they were well taken care of.
Ella was already in her room in the sinister societies with her feet up and a drink in hand when Mal and Jay walked in, "Wow on time much," her voice was slightly amused.
"Hooks kid, Aaron, promised me control," Mal sneered.
"You promised me answers," Jay added.
You couldn't see much though the strobing purple lighting of the club, but that did little to conceal the glowing of their eyes in annoyance. Jay was using his hair to cover his eyes which probably periodically started glowing throughout the day. much like her own did back in Corona when she got her powers. "Its gonna take more than that to make me slam my head on the table you two. I have full control of my magic," She smirked as her eyes glowed gold with flecks of green and orange glistening in them.
The two grumbled but sat opposite of Ella on two patched up leather chairs, two glass bottles and a bottle opener slid across the table. They looked up at her and saw her opening another bottle of soda. "You're both with that group of those Auradonians aren't you?" Mal asked rhetorically, "What are goodies, goodies like you doing on the isle."
Ella threw her head back and laughed, "First of all none of us are from Auradon. Second, we were two damn bad for them. We scared them."
"What could a couple of royal kids do, color outside the line, oh maybe your curtsied wrong," Jay gasped in horror making both him and Mal laugh.
"We threatened their perfect way of life," Mal and Jay immediately stopped and looked over to Ella in actually horror and admiration as the princess watched Aaron approach.
Aaron walked in a moment later dragging Ryder who had Carlos by the arm in a crude version of the buddy system Ella vaguely remembered from her short time at Pre-prep, the preschool in Corona. "They got stuck in the crowd, they're so damn small." Ella shrugged and passed over the box of sodas, "Where are the last two?"
"On the way, she didn't know where the club was so Jazzy had to bring her over," Ella looked up and saw Evie and Jazzy making their way through the crowd. "Speak of the devil. Aaron hold down Mal, Ryder close the curtains when they get in."
"Wait what? Get off me!" Mal started screaming and thrashing as Jazzy and Evie walked in. Ryder closed the curtains bracing himself for the inevitable fight, "You! What is she doing here?" Aaron kept his hold on Mal and Evie hid behind Jazzy.
"If you'd be still for fifteen minutes we'd tell you," Aaron said calmly.
Mal stopped thrashing, she needed to control the stupid glow of her eyes. And it seemed Jay, Aaron and Ella had this weird ability too. She huffed, realizing she had no choice really, "You get ten," He nodded and sat Evie down next to Jay.
