The barrier was locked back in place as soon as Ella and Mal did a head count and made sure everyone, they wanted free was off the isle. Of course, head count was putting it in simple terms, they had powerful magic and didn't literally need to go around counting everyone.

Ella did something that angered Mal to no end though. She set Hades free, "He's not even close to an okay person."

"He has a job that Adam stopped him from doing for years, Mal. The souls are probably backed up from the gates to Tartarus. If you don't wanna come, that's fine, go home and help the others with the boarders." Mal groaned but stormed off, she was angry but not willing to get in Ella's way. "Oh, and Mal," she turned to look at her still fuming, "he always asks about you. He does care," She could fee a small part of her break, she was always told her dad didn't want her and he never tried to look for her. Finding out he asked about her, it was all too much right now.

Ella left her standing there and led herself into Hades' lair looking at the withering forms of Pain and Panic under her boyfriend's Magic, "Hades!" She called through the tunnel. She heard loud barks and followed them only to see Hades asleep on a couch and a record player playing dog barks. "This is sad," the man immediately looked up, "Oh how the king of the underworld has fallen."

"What do you want, sunshine?" Hades snarled. He knew all of the royals pretty well and was on fairly friendly terms with them, Ryder was one of his favorites as he always brought news of Mal. He felt for them really, to be part of something bigger than yourself and have it upheaval due to unjust paranoia and fear. In the over two millennium since he tried to kill Heracules, Hades hadn't hurt anyone, he had just taken to doing his job, but he was still locked away here.

Hades had been Ella's informant; he was a god who was somehow trapped by a fairy whose most notable feat was giving a girl a dress and carriage for a few hours. How was it possible that she defeated the god of darkness without using something as equally dark?

"You're free."

He took off his sunglasses and raised an eyebrow, "How is that even possible?" Ella reached into her coat (well Jays dress coat that he threw off before starting the spell) and pulled out the wand, she saw his eyes widen. He stumbled up and to his feet, stalking towards her, "Where is she and where is Maleficent?" there it was fear for his daughter pouring into his voice. 

"The fairy will begiven to the council for judgement as for your ex-Jazzy gave her a punishment fit for the mistress of evil." At the look on Hades face she scoffed, "She's alive," she knew he was worried for his daughter who would be alone without her mother. He had never taken the time to get to know her, so he had no place in her life unless she asked. "She'll be taken care of, I promise." 

The fact that she was alive and well cared for was all he needed to hear, "I'm going home," he smirked. He also really didn't want Maleficent in his realm with his wife who actually somewhat cared about him.

"Oh," Ella stopped him "and I know you're a 'ruthless villain'," Those were his words not hers. "But try and make nice with your daughter, If and when her demigod powers come to light, she'll need a mentor, a teacher, and a father. We both know you deeply care for her." Hades looked to be contemplating it as he shadows traveled back to his realm back where he belonged. He would come to his senses and see her soon. That was one of the many steps in her plans for her family's happiness making nice with the parents who actually cared. If only she knew who Carlos and Evie's fathers were and who Jay's mother was. She had no idea what happened to her partners mother, but she knew she left in a hurry trying to get away from Jafar, she tried to take Jay, but her efforts were fruitless, and, in the end, she ran and hid with the hopes of finding him one day.
