Part two to that other story

THE STORY YOU JUST READ THIS IS PART 2

You all sit in a circle sketching your designs on your pumpkins "hey bros, so my bro at surfer boys said he can hook us up with some really delicious pies" you order 2 margaritas a pepperoni and a meat-lovers. "Where are your cassettes (L/N)?" Steve asks, placing his hand on your lower back "just in my wardrobe, top left, and stay to the left Harrington!" You call out as he jogs up the stairs, "what the fuck is in the right" Eddie laughs "her diaries" Robin chuckles at your panic. Steve comes back with the box of cassettes and leans down next to the record player that had a cassette slot "what are we feeling?" He asks looking up to us, he looks so cute you can't help but smile "hmm something fall-y" You call out "how about california dreamin'" Steve replies waving the cassette case in the air, we all agree as Steve comes back to sit next to you and continue on his pumpkin. The pizza arrives, you all make your way to the dining table, you pick the needle up and place it lightly onto the vinyl, you take a seat at the head of the table next to Steve and Jonathan as Somebody's watching me by Rockwell starts to play. You and Eddie start to dance and act out the lyrics "I'm just average man with an average life" You swing you piece of pizza as you sing "I work from nine to five hey hell i pay the price" Eddie slams down on the table scanning his head around the table, "all I want is to be left alone in my average home" Robin dramatically pretends to faint. You all get up and start to dance You and Steve facing each other singing the lyrics between bites of pizza, You all dance into the living room, you and Nancy jump up on the couch and sing to each other as Jonathan turns it up from the other room. you and Nancy fall down laughing, you look over to Steve who is leaning against the archway that leads to your dining room drinking a beer smiling at you having fun. He always loves the smile you have when you're having fun. It's so genuine. You see Nancy running into the kitchen as you all sit back down to continue your pumpkins, you soon hear Let's Dance by David Bowie start to play as she comes back in the room dancing holding beer bottles for everyone. Steve is sat next to you with his legs crossed leaning back on his hands "Look" you showed him the wavy smiley face carved pumpkin which makes him smile "you're so cute" Robin looks over as the words left Steves mouth she gives you a wink as you start to blush and get flustered. "Come here" he says with a smile sensing your nerves he pulls you in and puts his arm around you "but- what about the pumpkin?" you ask looking up at him "what about it?" he asks laughing "is it cute too?" you laugh taking a sip from your bottle, Steve just pulls you in closer and kisses your hair "of course it is"

You come back from the hallway chucking blankets at everyone, you all have put your lit up pumpkins out on the porch along with a trick or treat bowl so you don't have to deal with trick or treaters. you all move onto your large L shaped couch, You and Steve shared a blanket "you comfy?" he looks down at you sitting next to him with a smile "yeah" you say squeezing him closer, you can't help but smile to yourself, you never imagined you would be able to be here like this with Steve. It was like a beautiful dream. Argyle puts the first movie in the VHS player "first film of the night is Halloween my dudes, oh shit that's really weird cause like you know tonight's Halloween" Argyle ponders in front of the Tv "Argyle" you all laugh and call out to him to move. As the jump scares pop up of the screen you flinch into Steves chest to cover your eyes he just chuckled and holds you close "bit scared there (L/N)" he teases "shut up Harrington" you say into his chest to which he just chuckles rubbing your upper arm. while everyone screams at the jumps scares you can just hear Eddie cackling like the pycho he is "what the fuck Eddie are you laughing!?" you yell out in shock "I thought it was a comedy-" he jumps as a scene caught him off guard. "Sorry to be a bummer my dudes but me and Jonathan here have to go home and take care of some top secret business if you catch my drift" Argyle laughs and they both wave. Nancy rolls her eyes and moves over next to Robin and Eddie who are sharing a blanket and sits next to Robin, Nancy sighs as she lifts the blanket onto her and puts her arm on the couch behind Robin. You and Steve look over to Robin who is silently in shambles, you and Steve throw her a thumbs up as she looks to Nancy with a smile "oh h-hey Nance" she shakily says to which Nancy just chuckles and shakes her head. You guys are on the last movie by the point Eddie, Robin and Nancy are all drunk laughing at the texas chainsaw massacre, "you getting tired?" Steve looks down to you whose head is now resting on his stomach, "yeah a little" you look up to him. you watch steves eyes go from your eyes to your lips, "fuck it" he says under his breath, he holds your chin up with his index finger and thumb and gently but passionatly kisses you as if he has been resisting this whole time. Robin, Eddie and Nancy look over as you both seem oddly quiet "EWW! get a room!" Robin laughs while her and Eddie chuck pillows at you two. "What the fuck Buckly" Steve laughs "you heard me get a room" she taunghts him "maybe we will" Steve says picking you up as he stands up. you look over Steves shoulder to Robin and Nancy who are holding hands just under the blanket, the way Nancy looks at Robin is kinda sad it's like she wants her but can't have her, which mind you is the exact same way Robin looks at her. Steve puts you down as you get to the top of the stairs "you don't have to carry me everywhere you know?" you laugh opening your door, "sometimes its just faster" Steve shrugs, dropping himself on your bed, you press play on your boombox and Dazed and confused by Led Zeppelin starts to play. You walk over to Steve whose on the edge of your bed "come here" he says pulling your hands around the back of his neck as you stand in between his legs, You look down at him who is just gazing back up at you. you can't resist the urge to kiss him. You lean down slightly, his hands grip your waist as your lips connect, you sit on his lap wrapping your legs around his waist, the warm familiar scent of warm, spicey vanilla overcome you which makes you pull him in closer to you. his hand cupping your face as he pulls away slightly he rests his forehead on yours breathing heavily, he grazes your bottom lip with his thumb pulling you back in for more. you were irresistible to him.

You head down to get you and Steve a cup of water, you peer into the living room and see Eddie fast asleep but next to him Robin and Nancy were chatting, Nancy's arm still up behind Robin hair now playing with it. you smile to yourself and grab the glasses that are now overflowing and head back up stairs, you softly kick open your door to see Steve now shirtless in your bed "holy shit" you mumble under your breath, that sight will never get old. you lift the cover over you going over to Steve who is half asleep "your back" he mumbles you laugh as you snuggle into his chest and drift to sleep. Next morning you walk down stairs to Steve and Eddie cleaning up all the mess from the night before "morning sunshine" Steve smiles putting bottles into a box, "you guys actually slept?" Eddie teases to which Steve whacks him lightly "jesus Munson we aren't animals" Steve chuckles. You look into the kitchen to see Robin and Nancy making bacon and eggs, "did you two sleep well?" you smirk at Robin who immediately goes bright red "yeah we did, didn't we Buckly" Nancy says smiling back at Robin who is internally screaming. You all giggle as they bring the steaming food over to the table and plate everyone breakfast, "I thought Jonathan and Argyle were coming back in the morning" Eddie looks around confused picking up a piece of bacon "yeah well he is to busy getting high to be sociable" Nancy mumbles aggressively cutting her bacon, you all look at her in fear she'll snap at you too "what it's fucking annoying" she adds. "Like Eddie finds A way to function somewhat normally and still turn up to everything, so why can't Jonathan" Nancy says looking down at her plate, "she's got a point to be honest" Eddie says shrugging. Our group doesn't care what you do but when it's affecting other people that's a different story, Jonthan doesn't put any effort into his relationship with Nancy anymore and rarely puts effort into the friend group apart from Argyle of course. "Maybe- Maybe we should just be friends for now until he gets his shit together" she sighs in almost relief. "I think that would benefit both of you Nance" you say with a warm smile, you give her a warm hug around her shoulders as you put your dishes in the sink. "Love you guys" she says about to tear up "aw Nance Robin says hugging her "we love you too" everyone joins a group hug to help sooth Nancy.

Later that day everyone had gone home apart from Steve who was now in the shower, lying on your bed listening to Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper. You hear your front door open "oh hey Nancy" your mom greets her in shock "hey mrs (L/N)", before you could even get up Nancy barges in your room "yes?" you ask her concerned "whos here (Y/N)" Steve opens the bathroom door with a towel around his waist. "for god sakes Harrington, you have 10 seconds to put clothes on. I need to talk to both of you" she sighs and she sits on your bed. when Nancy is mad it's like when your mom is mad that shit is scary she is a fiery one. "Ok I'm dressed" Steve says throwing his hands in the air in defense, he sits next to you "what's wrong Nance?" you put your hand on the hunched over girl sitting across from you. "I- I broke up with Jonathan" she lets out a deep breath "aw Nance" you hug her "I thought you wanted to" Steve says confused, you both just glare at him "Steve it's still a lot to process" You tell him. "The thing is though, I'm- I'm not upset about it" Nancy starts to fidget with her chunky cardigan "what's bothering you then Nance, its ok you can tell us anything" You reassure her "you promise you won't tell a soul and won't judge me?" "of course Nance" Steve says awkwardly patting her on the shoulder to which we all let a little giggle out. "I- I think I might have a crush on Robin'' she whispers while tears roll down her face, you and Steve look at eachother with huge grins "Nance you know Robin isn't" You cup her knee "Robin like boobies" Steve whispers interrupting you. You two slowly look over to him "really?" you glare at him "what she does?" Steve shrugs "you're an idiot harrington" Nancy giggles and Steve gives her a warm smile "I'm just so scared" Nancy looks back down into her lap, "Nance fuck what people think, we all will always protect you guys to the grave" you say firmly which puts a smile on her face "wait hold on does she like me back?!" Nancy processes what you said "um duh she's like madly in love with you Wheeler" Steve rolls his eyes "um Steve shut up you were clueless to thank you" Nancy crosses her arms. "Thank you guys" Nancy says whipping her tears "see ya Nance" Steve calls out to Nancy who is half way down the stairs, "see the things boobies do to you, shit will drive you crazy" Steve shakes his head "oh shut up Harrington" you laugh nudging him with your elbow.
