(Y/n) 's POV

There was one more shot that I had. The hills where we had our official first date before our kiss. Thankfully I had a friend who helped me prepare everything with help of pictures. We arrived at the spot and Ethan smiled brightly.

"Wow... This looks... Amazing." I saw a little blush appear on his cheek. I smiled.

"I know. It's truly amazing." Ethan looked at me.

"Did you do all of this by yourself?" I smiled and shook my head.

"I had a little help. Come on." I sat down on the picnic towel and so did he. The food was amazing, just like when he did it for me. I let him eat and enjoy everything while I couldn't stop looking at him

"Don't you want anything?" He asked me, but I shook my head.

"I'm not hungry. Go ahead." He continued eating, but a little less. He was probably uncomfortable with eating alone.

"So... Why did you prepare all of this for me, (y/n)?" Ethan asked me after he swallowed a chocolate strawberry.

"Well... I thought it could help you remember. I... Saw pictures of a picnic you made and wanted to recreate it." Ethan looked at me confused.

"I... Did it?" I nodded and he looked down at the strawberry in his hand.

Ethan's POV

I... Saw pictures of a picnic you made and wanted to recreate it." (Y/n) told me. Wait... I did that? I looked at the strawberry and started to remember...

"I... I did..." I looked at  (y/n) and saw a spark in her eyes. She smiled brightly as if she was proud that I was finally remembering more.
"I still don't remember the girl, but I remember everything around it." Her spark faded a little, probably because she thought that she would finally be finished helping me.
"Sorry." I looked down.

"It... It's fine..." (Y/n) looked down, but by her expression I could tell... It wasn't fine at all...

(Y/n)'s POV

Nothing... It was all for nothing... what was the worth of it anymore? He would never remember me. I guess I shouldn't be so selfish and just make sure that he keeps his memories of everything else.

"Let's just go home and rest. It's been a long day." I started packing up everything and Ethan helped me. While he was busy with folding the blanket I wiped away a tear that fell down my cheek since I didn't want him to worry. He gave me the blanket which I put on the basket and he took our jackets as we left the place.

The walk was silent. We didn't talk to each other, we just walked. From the corner of my eye I could see that Ethan wanted to say something... But he didn't dare to. We walked to my home since my mom was on a business trip, which gave us the chance to have some privacy without her interrupting about the boyfriend-girlfriend-situation that didn't even exist. But whatever. It just wasn't meant to happen...

Ethan's POV

The unhappiness of (y/n) killed me. She was such a happy soul, always chering up everybody. And now I destroyed it. It was my fault. I held my tears as she opened the front door of the house. From the corner of my eye I saw a balcony, and it looked oddly familiar.

"I like the balcony.."  I looked at (y/n). She just shrugged.

"Thanks. It's mine." She opened the door and went inside. I followed her, taking one last look at that balcony...

A/N
Hey you guys! I am terribly sorry for not posting for a while! I just started my apprenticeship in August and currently the combination of  lots of studying and little motivation is kinda killing this story. But I promise that this story will not die. Just note that I might not be able to give you updates really frequently. But whenever I find time, I will write.

Until then, stay safe and healthy. :)
