[Late November Day]

Marinette pov:

My alarm blared in my ears as I awoke to find my glowing red Kwamii holding it up to my ear.

"Ow! Tikki!" I scolded her trying not to laugh.

I grabbed the phone and turned off the alarm. I unlocked it and had a glance at the time.

"IT'S 7:45!! I'm going to be late!!" I screamed as I tumbled off my loft bed and ran into my bathroom changing out of my pyjamas.

"You really need to get an earlier alarm Marinette." Tikki piped up before she flew into my flower purse.

I dashed out of my room, sprinting down the stairs and running into the bakery where my parents gave me a box of macaroons (nostalgia).

"Bye Mama! Bye Papa!" I yell before running out of the door towards the large, beige bricked building.

I saw my bestfriend Alya sitting on the steps gazing into space before glancing at me.

"Girl! Where have you been? Class starts in 5 minutes!" She grabs my arm and rushing us to the metal green stairs.

"I overslept." I laughed at my own comment.

We entered the green doors to our home room teacher's classroom.

"Good morning everyone! I will be doing attendance. Though before that I would like to make a few announcements." She clapped to get everyone's attention.

"First of all, the Christmas ball is soon so be ready in your best outfits! Two, gift giving is now accepted as we now have a Christmas tree in the back corner." Everyone turned their heads to where she had pointed.

"And thirdly! Someone has been coming into the school these past few days with a new present every night. They're often wrapped in black or green so if you see anyone please report it." She concluded.

"Mrs! Who were they delivered to?" Alya piped up.

"Obviously for me!" Chloe burst out.

Mrs Bustier looked at the corner which wielded the gifts and went to grab one.

"It's for- Marinette?" She said confused.

The whole class's eyes reached me.

"Look... I don't know who left them.." I say clearly nervous.

"Why don't you go open them?" Alya asks which gets a riot going off of people telling me to do it.

"Fine!! Just please, stop yelling." I finally give in.

I walked up to the front and grabbed the smallest gift before bringing it to the front of the class.

I unwrapped it out of its black and green wrapping. Shock covered my face.

"WHAT!? IS THAT LOUI VUITTON!?" Chloe screamed in rage. "RIDICULOUS! UTTERLY, RIDICULOUS!" She stormed out of the room with Sabrina trailing behind her.

I opened the box to reveal a beautiful jade ring with a silver ringed outline.

"It's beautiful." I muttered. "But I can't take it."

"Why not?" I hear a voice speak up for the first time.

Adrien.

"Well! It's too expensive an uh. I just can't take it!" I explain stuttering a few times trying to come up with the words.

"But it's a beautiful gift. Surely the person wanted you to have it." He spoke up again.

"I don't know.." I said before putting it back in it's packaging and placing it back in the corner.

"OPEN THE BIGGEST ONE!!" Rose squealed.

I grabbed the biggest one which was the size of a TV box.

"It's really heavy." I spoke out.

Mrs Bustier just sat down in amusement. Almost as if she knew who got it.

I unwrapped the paper to see a box. A very large one but nothing else. I grabbed a chair to try and open the top but then something came speeding out of the side.

"A DRONE!?" I screamed.

The drone dropped a large present into my hands before speeding out of the window in who knows what direction.

I opened it to find another expensive object.

"Okay, this is going a bit far." I say pulling out 3 different gold and diamond necklaces.

"They have a paw print sticker attached to the back." Nathaniel pointed out.

He knew about more artsy things than me and I couldn't really make out what it was.

I put the necklaces back in their corresponding areas and slid them into my bag.

"This is the only thing I'm keeping." I spoke up.

"Alright children! That's enough. How about Marinette opens one a day. It looks like this paw person has and will be delivering a lot." Mrs Bustier said before moving in with the lesson.

How odd..
