Gifts day 2

Recap:

Marinette is confused on who gave her the gifts. She writes down who she thinks it could be but not one them match up. She ends up giving up. Alya says it's Adrien but they both think she's wrong. Alya and Marinette go to Marinette's house where they watch a film/movie, do their homework and play video games. They call it a night and Alya leaves with Marinette going to sleep. A mysterious person arrives at the school and drops off a present in a black box under the new tree. They write a note then leave again.

Marinette pov:

I woke up to Tikki yelling in my ear. I was surprisingly not late.

I spent my time getting dressed and putting on one of the new necklaces. I settled on a black diamond one with a paw print as the main jewel. I decided to match the outfit with a dark green dress and black slides (pumps/flats).

I walked down the stairs to greet my parents and wish them a good day before walking out with a bag of croissants.

"Marinette!" Alya yells as she runs up to me.

"You're so early! Can I get a croissant please?" She begs.

"Of course Alya! I wouldn't be able to eat them all by myself." I say with my usual cheery voice.

"Who you looking fancy for?" She asks with a her mouthful.

"Oh, no one. I wanted to match one of the necklaces I received." I said.

"Well girl your in luck! Apparently there's a new gift waiting for you inside. It was the first gift seen under the tree going by 'the black paw'!" She says excitedly.

"Another one? I'm going to have to open it again, aren't I?" I say to myself.

I followed her inside as I see many people looking at me. Maybe because of my outfit or because of the person who broke in to give me a gift. I don't have a clue.

When we walked in everyone was mostly in the classroom so we waited a few minutes before everyone else arrived.

"Alright children!" Mrs Bustier clapped. "It seems some of you have gotten presents! I will hand them out and feel free to open them. You will have to wait your turn as we are going around the class." She says excited.

"Ivan." She says giving him a blue box.
"Mylene." Giving her a grey/gray one.
"Lila." giving her an orange one.
"Rose." Giving her a pink one.
"Juleka." Giving her a pink one.
"Chloe." Giving her a yellow one.
"Marinette." She says giving me a black one.

I touched the ribbon on the top of it and realised it was made out of thin silver.

"WHAT THE-" I yelled.

Everyone turned their heads towards me.

"What happened?" Alya asked.

"The ribbon is made of silver. And there's a note." I speak.

Many already knew about the note but not what it had said so I had a look at it.

"C'mon Mari! Read it!!" Alix yelled from the back.

"Alright.." I muttered.

"Hello Marinette,
I'm happy you've accepted one out of the many to come. However this will be coming to an end on New Years Eve.
I wish you the best,
The black paw 🐾"
I read out.

"Awe. At least you have a guaranteed gift everyday!!" Rose yells.

"Open it!" Kim says sitting next to Alix.

I opened the beautiful black wrapping paper to be greeted with something unexpected.

A small black diamond broach and a few rings and bracelets that must've costed millions.

"Another note?" I asked to myself as I picked up the letter.

"Hello Marinette,
I had intended on making this the first gift to give to you. I was actually going to give it to you in person. However I got quite nervous and decided to give you the least expensive gifts I had gotten you. I'm sending you these gifts in appreciation on what you have done for your classmates and me. Even people outside of school. I think you are a bit weirded out on who I am. It's not my intention to break into the school. It's just not possible for me to deliver the gifts during the day as it would be suspicious. I heard the Agreste's were buying a large tree for the middle of the courtyard. I do hope you are at your best.

P.S. I do hope you accept the gift at the bottom of the box and I actually made that one myself. I had to get Chat Noir's help for it."

I read out in shock.

Chat knows this person?

"Marinette! Are you okay?" I hear Adrien yell as I see him shake me.

"Huh! What?" I ask.

"You were zoned out for a while and we wanted to ask what's at the bottom of the box." He replied.

"I guess I could see."

I dove into the box to find a smaller box. I grabbed it and opened it to find something unexpected.

"What is it?" I asked looking at the black pigment.

"That's Chat Noir's cataclysm." Marcov speaks up as he flies out of Max's bag.

Marcov scanned it and analysed it.

"It appears to have been out in the open to sit for 3 days since the cataclysm can be quiet hot. It also seem to be a good material to use to create an outfit or two with one drop." He says before shutting down.

"What did he mean by that Max?" I turn to him.

"He means that the cataclysm is so powerful that it can prevent stain and with one drop of it, it could colour your whole outfit full of black." I replied.

"Woah." I said there stunned. "What if I put it in a necklace?" I asked him.

"It would probably turn it black but if it's made of diamond then it would probably turn green or silver." He answered the question.

"Great!" I grabbed the necklace from my neck and opened the little capsule of the paw and dropped a bit into it.

It started to fiz before leaving a small explosion. When I looked back at it, it was still black but it was fading to green near the bottom.

"He wasn't entirely wrong" I thought.

Alright. That's enough for chapter 3! I hope you have enjoyed this chapter. It did take a while. I wanted to put something about Chat's cataclysm in so I decided that it may be a good colour to use so I went along with it.
