Before we settle down with our bags I quickly send a text to Marco, not Devon, with the address. I just don't have the capacity to deal with him right now.

He send over a thumbs up, and says "Have fun, we're parked outside. Dev's fuming and running the checks on the new apartment, if there's any issues we'll come get you."

I let out a sigh of relief. Marco's much more level headed, he'll be my main point of contact tonight.

Marco's POV:
____

"She's safely inside, let's just run the checks, and let her enjoy the sleepover."

Devon's been pacing up and down the sidewalk since we got here. I'm not sure why he's so worked up about it.

"How could she disobey my orders, doesn't she care about her safety?!" He says running his hands over his hair.

"Disobey?" I questioned.

"Yes! She's always so submissive and obedient with him. Why didn't she listen?" Was that a twinge of jealousy I hear?

"Just run the checks." I don't know what his problem is, but it's not my job to figure it out.

____

Aaron and Janelle were in the kitchen preparing the snacks while I flipped through the movie options on Netflix. After everything that happened earlier tonight, I think I'm in the mood for comedy.

"Hey guys, how does 21 Jump Street sound?" I say absentmindedly.

"Sounds perfect, it's one of my favorites." An unrecognizable voice replies back. I nearly jump out of my seat, who was that??

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." I turn to see a tall, cute guy, behind me.

"I-it's okay..." I trail off, trying to slow down my racing heart. "I'm Mason, I believe we've met before." Looking a bit closer, I realize he does look familiar. "Yes, we've met in passing, I think." He really did look familiar, just one of those people you meet in a group setting, and then never see again for weeks."

"I see you two are ready for us to start." Janelle remarks as her and Aaron walk back into the living room with popcorn and candy in hand. "Yeah, thanks for picking out the movie," Aaron says walking over with drinks in hand, and plopping down right beside me.

After a few more minutes we settle down and enjoy our evening filled with laughs, snacks, and pure enjoyment.

I groggily rolled out of my sleeping bag around 2:30am, I was so thirsty. I got up trying to make as little noise as possible, and made my way to the kitchen.

I reach for the Brita in the fridge, nearly dropping it on the wooden floors and waking everyone up when I hear someone whisper, "What are you doing up so late?"

It's Mason...shirtless, with just his pajama bottoms on.

"I-I was thirsty, and needed some water." He reached out and grabs two glasses from the cupboards. "Me too."

He takes the Brita from my feeble hands, pours into the two glasses, and hands me one. I thank him, taking small sips, and standing there in silence. This is so awkward.

After a few more sips, I decide it's best that I just take the glass with me and keep it beside me for when I'm thirsty later. Just as I turn to leave, Mason stops me in my tracks.

"Wait please, I need to tell you something." I turn back on my heel slowly, and he's waiting expectantly.

"I...ever since I first saw you, I haven't been able to stop thinking about you." My eyes widen, as he gets closer, closing me into the kitchen counter. "I have feelings for you, Dove." He reaches out to touch me, pulling me in for a hug, and taking in a deep breath of my scent.

I'm in shock, this can't be happening.

Devon's POV:
_____

"You've rummaged through these pages for the past 3 hours, take a break, Dev." Marco says leaning back in his seat.

"I don't care, something off, and I'm going to find out what." Though he's right, I can't have peace knowing she's sleeping under the roof of an unfamiliar building. I freeze as I come across something unexpected. I can't believe I missed this.

"Marco, hand me the ammunition." I'm gonna kill them, all of them. "What do you mean? Why would you need it?"

I slam the papers down, and shove the car door open, "Hand me the ammunition now!"

He scrambles to find extra bullets in the storage pockets in the vehicle.

"Call Capo, two males live here. The Principessa is in danger."
