The room filled with the sound of chatting heroes and smells of almond tofu and other delicacies. Anling was the only one who was not talking. She slumped down in the chair. What use was it, her mom couldn't help at all.
She'd have to face La Signora by herself.
But then, it was impossible. How on earth could she possibly beat a harbinger? A harbinger, for Celestia's sake. The strongest of the Fatui. "What's wrong?" Xiao asked, dragging Anling back to reality. "N-nothing." Anling replied.
With a skeptical look on his face, Xiao said, "It doesn't look like it is nothing. What's really wrong? I'm your father after all."
Anling hesitated, than spoke in an almost whisper, "Signora visited me. I have to battle her soon."
"FOR THE MOTHER OF FU-" Xiao screamed, jerking up onto the table.
"Hey, it's not until a month!" Anling added, stuttering but still pulling through. "And because of that I have plenty of time to train!"
Xiao took a deep breath and sat back in his chair. "Well. I'll enlist Zhongli to help with your training."
Anling's blindfold moved slightly. "Really?"
Xiao nodded.
It was time.
Well, this is shocking you all, I know it. I'm thinking Anling gets a polearm, what do you think?
