Hours had past since I'd last seen Max as it drew close to 6:30pm when me and Em finally made it back to the hotel. "Are you going to tell me what all that was about with Max?" her brows raised looking at me as we sat side by side in the neatly made hotel bed. "Ok so I may or may not have made a bet, and then lost said bet" I spoke looking toward her throwing my phone to the side  so I can explain. "The bet was exactly?" Em dragged out questioningly, "that I'd go on date with him if he won" as soon as the words left my mouths Emery began to grin excitedly at me. "So when do you leave?" She practically jumped out the bed rushing over to my side and pulling me to my feet. I glanced over to the time displayed on my phone quickly before replying to her "I'm meant to meet him in 15 minutes" the girl before me gasped whilst playfully looking me up and down hinting towards her distaste in my current attire which consisted of a hoodie and sweatpants I'd just changed into. "I am not letting you leave this room like that!".

After being forced to try on multiple outfits I settled on a white satin two piece, I was slightly late to meeting Max but you know what he can wait a bit. Stepping out of the elevator the small heel of my shoe delicately made contact with the floor making an echoing sound as I walked deeper into the lobby. Glancing around the room I spotted the brunette boy I came to meet, my heart beat a little bit quicker as he stood and walked toward me. Meeting me in the middle his smile mirrored mine as he assessed me. "Hi" I smiled softly at him laughing a little, "Hi" he smiled back. Max nodded his head to the side gesturing for me to follow him as we walked out of the hotel and into the cool breeze of the Italian streets. "c'mon" Max spoke looking over his shoulder holding his hand out for me as if this were natural to the two of us. "We're walking" I exclaimed sounding almost shocked. "Yes, you literally walk for a living so come on" I smiled to myself whilst taking his hand as I mentally noted that he knew about my modelling. "Awe are you a fan of my walking" I mocked teasingly as he lightly hit my shoulder with his free hand. "Where are we going?" I questioned looking at him in the dim lights of the streets. "It's a surprise" he smirked.

After walking for around ten minutes with constant conversation flowing as we walked swinging our interlocked hands like children. It wasn't long before we arrived at a set of stairs I turned to max with a confused questioning look "I swear if you try and kidnap me Verstappen I'll get Lewis to run you off the track" Max laughed whilst he pulled me beside him as we both walked up the stairs. As we arrived at the top there were fairy lights illuminating a small terrace which had a table set up with a wine bottle laid out. "You did this?" I said in awe of the kind gesture. "No Christian did" he said sarcastically as I playfully rolled my eyes before taking a seat looking out to the sea. "You did well today" I noted turning back to face him to find him already looking at me, "Could've been better though" He said truthfully critiquing his own driving. I hummed back in response thinking how to approach the question I wanted to ask "Do you think you're judgemental toward your own driving because your dad was so hard on you as a kid?" Max took a moment to think over the question whilst we both sipped our wine. "I think so, but at the end of the day it makes me become a better driver" He sighed thoughtfully as delicately brushed his leg with my foot under the table. "Why did you stop modelling?" Max asked intrigued to know the truth, "Do you want my actual answer or the one I've been telling everyone?" I smiled wondering whether or not be vulnerable around him. "I want to know the truth" he said simply "Well," I began placing my hands on the table fiddling with the bottom of my glass "It's harsh you know with everyone wanting you to be perfect all the time, when in reality I'm anything but and then i was just so unhappy, so I did what I do best and ignored my problems and came half way across the world so now I'm here with you" I said after pausing for breaks overcoming my fear to show my real emotions. "The worst thing to do in life is run form your problems" Once again I hummed back in response taking in his words. Hours passed by as we continued to talk and sip red wine laughing with each other before deciding to head back toward the hotel.

As we strolled down the cobble stoned path giggling together from the slight buzz of liquor in our system "We should do this every time I win" max smiled down at me as we walked back into the hotel. "If you're lucky" I smirked back at him as we stepped into the elevator. Max was stood directly in front of me as his eyes travelled down to my lips my head tilted to the side as he went in for the kiss. His lips felt soft against mine as we moved in sync as the kiss deepened one hand travelled to his hair as the other rested on his shoulder. A ding came from the elevator as the doors slid open and we pulled away from one another taking in what just happened. I stepped out first not too sure how to react to the scene which just unfolded, I continued to walk ahead of Max reaching my door "You know we can't tell anyone about this right" I deadpanned turning back to face him. "I know" He said slightly deflated before leaning back in to kiss me again, my hand was against his chest kissing him back for a second before lightly pushing him away. I smiled at him before turning and opening my door "Goodnight Max!"
