"How about here?" Klarion suggested, stroking Teekl who was surveying their surroundings. The piece of land they were both on, was barren. No houses, humans, animals. Just trees and a population of filthy insects.

"It's good enough." Teekl meowed, still frowning, before leaping out of Klarion's arms and onto the dry and hard ground. To be honest, Teekl didn't think this piece of land was sufficient. But oh well, he did not want to continue another 4 hours searching for a good enough land, so he gave in.

"Finally!" Klarion exclaimed, smiling delightedly. He was glad that Teekl had finally agreed to this piece of land. They had been searching for a barren land for the spell they were going to do, for hours. So when Teekl gave in, Klarion was delighted.

Klarion reached into his suit and pulled out a glowing & sparkling yellow gem. He smirked. A million evil thoughts went through his mind. Like all the chaos that he will be wrecking.

The smile on his face never left. Klarion knelt down, and placed the gem into the ground. After doing so, Klarion stood up again and raised his arms, prepared as ever to wreak havoc.

Chaos magic surrounded his hands, taking the shape of an irregular ball. Klarion's magic triggered something in the gem, causing multiple ripples of yellow energy to emerge from the gem. Soon enough, two glowing yellow circles surrounded the gem, symbols of runes were formed on the ground, completed with a star shape.

Klarion stood in the middle of the spell as Teekl watched with anticipation. When the basic was completed, Klarion took a few steps back, just outside of the glowing symbol.

"Time to get the old band together," Klarion sniggered, his eyes glowing a dark orange.

After Klarion had recited his fellow sorcerers' names, Wotan, Blackbriar Thorn, Felix Faust and Wizard stood at their respective places of the spell. Each waiting for Klarion's order.

"Now.." Klarion chuckled.

"Let's put on a show."

"Did you get everything?" Batman asked as the team unloaded Bio-ship, carrying boxes full of multiple items. Conner, as usual, was using his strength to carry the boxes. Except he wasn't using his hands. But rather his back.

Meanwhile, M'gann was effortlessly using her telekinesis to unload the boxes.

"Everything on your list, Batman." M'gann smiled. "Plus groceries."

At the sound of the word 'groceries', Wally came running towards her, before slowing to a stop. "Cookie Fixings?"

"SnickerDoodles." M'gann replied.

Wally grinned. "Babe, you rock my world."

Vance, who was helping Kaldur with the boxes, couldn't help but chuckle at Wally's continuous attempt to flatter M'gann. "What's with the... laughter?" Kaldur asked awkwardly.

"Oh uh..." Vance rubbed the back of her  neck with her hand. "Nothing.. Just amused..." She said, their eyes on Wally and M'gann.

"Hm," Kaldur said before looking back at his clipboard, making sure all boxes were accounted for by ticking off stuff on the list he had.

Vance turned her attention to Conner who was staring at M'gann, watching her exchange words with Wally. Vance smiled, "Whatcha looking at, Conner?" Vance teased.

Conner snapped back to reality at the sound of his name. "What- uh.. Nothing. Just.. Help me to unload the things, will ya?" Conner muttered, forcing himself to look away from M'gann.

"Right.. Of course." Vance replied, not wanting to press any further.

Just then the elevator door opened, revealing Artemis and Zatanna inside, engrossed in their own conversation.

"Glad you're back Zatanna, does this mean you're officially joining the team?" Artemis asked hopefully.

Vance couldn't help but overhear their conversation. Artemis and Zatanna were good friends and Vance knew Artemis would be glad to have Zatanna on the team.

Unsure of how to answer, Zatanna looked at her father, Zatara, who was chanting some spell which helped to make the boxes float. Zatanna's shoulders slumped when she recalled her trying to convince her father to let her visit her friends.

Dick came walking over to Conner, Vance and Kaldur. "Think Zatara will let Zatanna join?" Dick who had obviously overheard Artemis and Zatanna's conversation, asked, folding his arms, looking all macho with his sunglasses.

"First of all, unfortunately no." Vance said sadly, looking at Zatanna and Artemis. "I don't think he'll let Zatanna join the team. I mean, you know how Zatara is, he loves his daughter so much that he can't let her go. And second of all," Vance added, looking back at Dick. "What's with the sunglasses? We're indoors. Plus it's night time."

Dick smirked. "First of all, I agree with you about the whole Zatara not letting Zatanna make her own choices. Second of all, why so against my cool and amazing sunglasses, huh? Afraid me and my sunglasses will outshine you and your cool scar?" Dick exclaimed, nudging Vance with his elbow while grinning from ear to ear.

Vance rolled her eyes, amused at Dick's response. Although she couldn't help but touch her X-shaped scar on her left shoulder with her finger, gently tracing it. Vance recalled how her scar gave her her superhero name, Xanver.

'Cause you know, having an X-shaped scar, means you deserve a superhero name that started with X. (Wally came up with that rule)

Zatanna sighed, completely unaware that Dick and Vance were eavesdropping. She folded her arms. "I- I don't know.. Zatara is so overprotective. I mean, just getting him to let me visit takes a full day's wheedling... I wish he'd just give me a little space."

With that said, just a moment later, Zatara disappeared with a flash of yellow light, causing the boxes which were floating in the air to fall to the ground with a crash. But it wasn't only Zatara. Batman and Red Tornado disappeared too.

"Dad!" Zatanna called out with shock. At the sight of her friend's father disappearing, Artemis gasped.

"Holy-" Vance blurted out, her hands automatically getting into defense position.

M'gann and Wally gasped too. And Kaldur and Conner flinched at the sudden disappearance of the adults.

Meanwhile, behind his 'cool and amazing' sunglasses, Dick's eyes widened in shock at his mentor's disappearance.

"Batman!" Dick cried out.

"What... just happened?!" Conner exclaimed, shock written all over his face.

"Where did the adults go?" Vance's voice dropped to a whisper.
