"I-Is that... a spaceship?!"

"That can't be..."

"Shun! Yuuta!"

Only when Matatagi called for his brothers did Tsurugi finally notice it was the entire audience that was caught by the light. He quickly turned to the balcony, only to find his friend missing.

Crap, did she fall there somewhere?! He wasn't given a chance to think of it much further as a red dome suddenly appeared below the ship, sparkling before the members of Storm Wolf seemed to disappear.

Then, a light came straight down from it, and a strange person teleported in.

"An alien...?"

"Congratulations, representatives of Earth." He said in a deep voice. "You have won the preliminaries for Grand Celesta Galaxy and earned the right to proceed into the main tournament."

"Say that again?"

"What's going on here?"

"What? What is he saying?"

"Did he just say...?"

"... That we are representatives of Earth?"

"That's right." He answered them. "You are not representatives of the country known as Japan."

"Not Japan... but Earth?" Tenma repeated, turning to their coach for some kind of confirmation. He only sat back in his seat as usual.

"As I suspected, I see you have been fighting without being told any knowledge of the details."

"What did you do to Shun and Yuuta?!" Matatagi cut in.

"What did you do to the spectators?" Tenma asked.

"I've put them to sleep."

"Sleep?"

"Why would you do that?"

"I'll explain from here." A new voice joined them.

They turned their attention to the tunnels, where two blondes stood with serious expressions on.

"Gouenji-san! Kimiko!"

He felt his shoulders relaxing at the sight of his friend, but they didn't stay eased for long as she barely spared them a single glance. Her eyes remained focused on the... alien in front of them. He watched her follow her cousin as he walked over to them.

"I'm sorry, Tenma." He began. "I had you guys fight without revealing to you the real situation.

"What do you mean?"

"I'll tell you everything about what's happening right now." He took a deep breath, and started. "Do you know about the incident three months ago, when the moon could no longer be seen in the sky?"

"Yes... The news said that we could no longer observe the moon from Earth."

"As I recall, it was because a large amount of cosmic dust broke out, blocking the light so that we can't see it anymore..." Shindou added.

"No, that's wrong." The blonde man immediately replied.

That got a chuckle out of the alien. "Yes, completely wrong."

"Huh...?"

Kimiko let out a rather large sigh. She stepped to the center of the pitch and closed her eyes. "Don't panic or scream or disrupt my focus in any way, or you'll feel dizzier than necessary." When her eyes opened, they were several shades brighter.

Suddenly, pained grunts came from all around, but none of them were able to see each other. Instead, they saw Gouenji's office, with him and the alien inside.
