i walked through the school, my backpack on my back, lighter than this morning since my homeroom teacher made everyone organize our stuff and throw out unnecessary papers, annoyed with people not turning in her work.

as i was walking through the halls i had my airpods in as i listened to music, considering i was heading for lunch and didn't have a class i needed to pay attention to next.

i walked through the halls, just dedicated to go to lunch so i could sit down and go on my phone, finally able to relax. i wasn't the type to really eat at lunch since it was too early (if you consider eleven thirty early) and i was never really hungry at that time.

i saw a group of guys all standing by the lunch room door, as they usually did and immediately looked down. i knew that in those group of guys was minho. usually i'd be happy to just look at him for a mear second before heading into the cafeteria but now knowing that i would see him at work and that we now knew one another made it lowkey nerve-wracking to do so.

i walked past the group of guys silently, avoiding all eye contact as i continued into the cafeteria, heading for my usual seat by the windows. it was a circular table opposed to the long picnic style like tables that took up most of the room. usually friend groups took up the few circular tables never really this one. usually the only people that sat here were me, my friend, and two other girls who were friends with one another.

the thing was, my friend, jihyo wasn't gonna be here today so i was left alone with the two girls. it wasn't a problem though considering the girls were nice and we've talked a bit before and also since like i originally said, all i wanted to do this lunch was go on my phone and relax.

i walked into the busy coffee shop, mostly full of students who also just got out of school. i guess i never took the time to really appreciate the beauty of it.

firstly, i looked the fact that the owner had so many plants around the place. along with the plants there were semi-dark wooden tables with black metal chairs that were somehow really comfortable (i had sat down for a moment in the chair when training with suhwa) which matched the vibe so well. i also loved the fact that there were so many windows around the shop, so that if it wasn't a busy day you could look out the window and watch the people walk by as you waited for customers.

i walked into the back room and went straight to the bathroom to get changed out of my school uniform and into some jeans and a t-shirt before putting my apron on over my clothes and stuffing my uniform carefully into my backpack, as to not wrinkle it too much.

i walked out of the bathroom and went to my locker, shoving my bag in before i shut my locker and walked out of the room and behind the counter.

my shift had gone by pretty smoothly, being decently busy but not overwhelming. after it was done though i was straight up exhausted and just wanted to go home since i both needed to eat, shower, and do some homework i hadn't been able to finish in our study hall time. i immediately went to the locker room once it had ended and gotten my bag out of the locker.

as i was walking out of the locker room i walked past minho and through the little gates that let to the dining area of the little shop. i walked out into the busy streets and started on my way home.

i took out my airpod case and was about to take them out to put them on when i stopped when someone walked up right next to me. i looked over to see minho looking down at my hands.

"honestly i felt quite hurt today." he started, giving me no context whatsoever.

"what, why?" i ask confused.

"at lunch you walked right past me, not even glancing my way." he put his hand up to his heart. "it was pretty hurtful." he told me.

"oh, sorry. you were with your friends so i didn't know if you would notice me walking by or not so i just didn't say hi." i lied.

"are you sure you just didn't want me to see blush on your cheeks that you always get whenever i'm around." minho teased as he put his hands into his sweater pockets.

i didn't know what to say since honestly, that was partly true so i just stayed quiet. minho noticed me not answering i guess and decided to tease me about it further. "so it's true?" he says.

"no it's not true." i lie.

"stop lying. i know you love me." he said.

"love you? never." i respond.

"whatever you say." minho says, smiling. "i gotta go," he then abruptly says. "text me when you get home." he tells me before walking off without another word.

when i got home later that night i was greeted by my mother who was making some bibimbap for dinner. i was told to quickly wash up and get ready so that we could wash up for dinner and so i did so. i was picking out which playlist i wanted to play in the shower when i remembered to text minho, so i quickly texted him a..

me im home

.. before going back to picking a playlist, ultimately deciding on my kpop playlist that i ended up picking 99 percent of the time.

after my shower i saw he had texted me back while inside but didn't answer it right away, getting ready for bed as my mom said. once i finished though and was about to leave my room and go out to the dining room where there was a small circular breakfast table my mother and i used for all meals i checked minho's text.

minho k

i sighed at the response, i mean obviously that's all he'd say. what could you really say to a text like "i'm home"? i was about to just shut my phone off when my phone vibrated in my hand and i looked down to see another text message bubble from minho on the screen.

minho say hi to me at school tomorrow
