𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐨𝐲𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝

Athena's POV

I woke up to two things, the horrendous sound of Conan's alarm and Conan's tangled curls in my face. "Why is your alarm so damn loud?" I groaned, Conan, grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him.

"You need a new alarm sound" I squirmed, fixing his hair for him. "I like the alarm sound" I scoffed. I grabbed his phone, turning off the alarm. It was the fucking corn song. "You're insane"

Conan headed downstairs to start on breakfast as I fixed the bed, fixing up the rest of the bedroom a little bit as well. "Okay chef, what did you make today?" I giggled, my arms wrapping around his waist. "I made eggs... 'cause it's all I can make" I scoffed. "What! I'm better at desserts" "you liar" I giggled.

We sat down to eat, talking about random things like always. "We should go out today, I need to do some Christmas shopping" I rested my head on my hand, Conan sipping on his coffee."You aren't busy today right?" He shook his head. Finally, he's always working. At the same time, I understand...but I miss him a lot of the time.

We got ready to head out, we decided to go to the Grove, a large shopping center I could honestly spend hours at. I changed into a cardigan, a pair of jeans, and my converse. I need to be comfy if we're gonna be walking around all day. I finished up my makeup and hair, just a bit of concealer and mascara since I was feeling lazy.

Our first stop was obviously Barnes and Nobel. Our obsession with books isn't very healthy..." Okay, our limit is 100" he shrugged, "I'm serious Conan, we need to chill with the irresponsible spending for a bit" "yea...totally" he fake laughed, I nudged him on the side before we explored the store.

"I like this one, you should read it" he went on about the plot, almost spoiling it for me as I nodded. "Okay okay, I'll buy it! Jesus" I laughed. I obviously had to drag him to the record area, picking out a few Taylor records and some CDs. "Hey look, based on a Wattpad book" he teased. "Shut up, I've already read that one" I mumbled.

After spending an hour in the store we checked out. We in fact did not stay within the budget, with both of us spending $300 combined. Conan said if you split it in 2 we both only spent $150 each, and I guess he's right.

We decided to stop for coffee before heading into the stores, the closest coffee place was a Panera, not usually our first choice but it'll do. We sat down, just ordering the coffee and pastries we always get. Conan stuck with an Americano while I got a pumpkin spice latte, we both got chocolate croissants because that's the obvious choice.

He told me about work, how it's going at the studio, special photo shoots he's doing soon. If you would've told me that my high school boyfriend was gonna be doing photo shoots once a week I honestly would've believed you, he's just that pretty.

My life isn't very entertaining, I usually work from home, all though it is hard work, it's boring work. Conan tries to get me jobs but I always decline, I like being home. My favorite part of the day is him coming home. He's always tired but he makes time for me.

After we finished the coffee we went deeper into the shopping center, going into the stores that caught our eye. "Babe, look at this, you would look so nice in it" it was a beige button-up, with light stripes on it. I love button-ups, he always leaves a couple of buttons out and it's kinda hot...

"That is nice" I mentally gave myself a high five, he likes it! We did some more shopping before moving on to the next store, finding ourselves in a plant shop. "Conan...no I think we have enough plants in the apartment" "there's never enough plants Athena, look at this one" it was a Chinese money plant. He said it matched his hair which...I guess I kinda saw it.

Luckily I convinced him into only buying that one. He loves his plants but I have to end up taking care of them because he's always at work. We already have 10 in the apartment, basically 10 kids. I'm scared I'm gonna end up killing one, they are his babies...

"Here Conan, try this one" I went on my tiptoes, handing him the bigger shirt to try on. After a couple of seconds, he came out, Whoah. How is he so pretty? I'm so jealous... "do you like it?" He gave a little spin as I nodded my head. "You're so precious" He blushed, going back into the dressing room to change into his clothes.

8 stores later, unfortunately, nothing really caught my eye, Conan on the other hand was walking around with 2 bags. I know what looks good on him, so I kinda make him buy it. And if I like it that much on him I can just steal it and wear it to bed when he's not home.

"Ready to head home?" I nodded, my head on his shoulder as we walked, I was tired and so was Conan. "I'm gonna make one more stop..." "seriously Conan?" "What! You know what you can wait in the car if you'd like, I'm just getting coffee" "alright I'll go to the car" I yawned, taking the bags into my hands.

Good for me we had parked close to the entrance, making it easy for me to load everything into the jeep. I waited a couple of minutes, scrolling on my phone as I waited for Conan to come back. I heard the car unlock, Conan opening the door. "Where's your coffee?" I rubbed my tired eyes before he handed me a small bouquet of blue flowers. Carnations with a touch of baby's breath.

I could've cried right there...I get emotional when I'm tired haha. "These are so precious! Thank you" I leaned in for a kiss, Conan just blushing as he started the car. "Well that was money well spent" "I couldn't agree any less, babe"
