07. unexpected hangout

it's been a few days since i've saw the triplets. and let me tell ya it's been difficult. either i'm busy and they aren't or they are busy and i'm not, recently it's been hard to find time for each other but summer is around the corner.

i'm sitting alone in my room while the triplets are finishing up a photo shoot. i hear a notification from my phone.

- hey, we just finished our photo shoot. are you busy right now?

how did the shoot go? and to answer your question no i'm not busy lol

chris 💓
- it was good but we will be at your house to pick you up in 10!

oh so i don't get a say in whether or not i wanna see you guys?

chris 💓
- mmm nope. doesn't matter because i know you miss us so be ready.

i left chris on read because i knew he was right and im to stubborn to admit that i miss them. yes we facetime all the time but it's not the same. i quickly got up and brushed my hair and teeth. i sprayed a tiny bit of perfume on my neck.

i checked my outfit in my body mirror and i was just wearing grey sweats and a t-shirt. i pick my phone back up from off my bed and make my way down stairs.

i grab my white air forces and slip them onto my feet. i wait until i hear a honk indicating that the boys have arrived.

*HONK*

i make my way outside and i get into the back seat.
"y/n!!" nick yells eloping me into a hug. "hey nick, i've missed you" i say pulling away from the hug

"how have you been" matt asks turning his body and head facing me. "same as always i guess" i reply.

"you guess?" chris asks not having to turn to face me since he already had his eyes on me. i nod and matt starts to pull out of the drive way.

"can i have aux?" i ask chris since his phone was connected. he doesn't reply and just hands me the cord to plug in my phone.

"nick, this one's for you" i smile at nick as i push shuffle on my billie eilish playlist.

nick gasps with a slight smile "YES" he yells singing along to the music.

"y/n why did you play this type of music. i don't wanna get into my feels right now" matt says in a nice way but i knew he just didn't want to listen to billie.

"shut it off and play some rap music" chris groans. i shake my head no.

"you guys are such baby'ssss" nick says extending the S's. chris rolls his eyes and turns to face the front.

lucky for them we arrived to their place pretty quickly. we all got out of the van and made our way inside.

"do you guys wanna watch a movie? there's not much else to do. i wanna have a relaxing day since we had to get up so early for the shoot" nick explains.

"a movie day sounds good" i say looking at the other two boys waiting for a answer.

"i'm down to watch some movies" matt says and chris just nods.

i feel like something is off with chris, he's usually talking a lot more and giving me a type of vibe to bounce off of but maybe he's upset with me or something?

"nick and matt go find a movie, chris and i will grab snacks" they nod and we go out separate ways to do what we need to.

"hey can i talk to you?" i ask looking up at chris.
"sure"

"are you okay? you seem off" i say hoping for a reasonable answer. "i'm fine" he says dryly.

"oh" i say looking down. chris lifts my chin up "i'm okay i promise you" he says then placing a kiss on my forehead.

i smile and we grab the snacks and go into the living room. "we picked benchwarmer's" matt says with a smile on his face. "here let me correct, MATT picked benchwarmer's" nick corrected and we all laughed.

one of matt's favourite shows is benchwarmer's. i should have known he would pick that.

i sit beside chris on one end of the couch and cover up with a blanket. chris slowly slides down and places his head on my thighs.

matt and nick are on the other end of the couch eating oreos.

i look down at chris and play with his hair. he looks so perfect. i smile to myself.

"shockingly after watching this a thousand times with you guys it still makes me laugh" i say and they laugh along.

"it's so good. the jokes that they crack get me every time" matt says with a smile.

we are half way into the movie and chris phone goes off. he reaches to pick it up off the coffee table and looks at it.

he had got a message from a girl named sadie?
it said "hey babe" and my heart dropped. he shut his phone off and placed it back on the coffee table.

"i uh- i need to go to the bathroom" i say and i rush out holding in tears so they don't stream down my face.

i go upstairs into the bathroom and look in the mirror. my brain is thinking so much things right now i just feel like crying.

i know we aren't dating but it still hurts. we said we were going to take it slow so that means there would be a chance of us dating in the future right? at least i thought so

i feel like i'm gonna be sick.

that's when the tears started coming down my face.
