High School Bodyguard [Korrasami]

Chapter 1

"DAD HURRY UP! IM GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!" Asami shouted at her father who was still getting ready

"IN A MINUTE SWEETHEART!" Hiroshi shouted back at his daughter who was pissed. He got out the room and walked towards his daughter. "Have you eaten breakfast yet?" His daughter nodded. "I had Alfred make it for me while YOU were still in the bathroom! "Alright alright, sorry" "Can we please leave now? It's the first day of senior year i don't want to miss it" "of course, let's go".

ASAMI'S POV

By the time I got to school it was already 8:15 and I was late. I was so gonna kill my dad for this. I entered the class and the teacher already looked pissed. Someone probably messed something up.

Fortunately for me, the teacher had her back turned. I sprinted towards my seat next to my BEST FRIEND Wu. Wu was from the earth kingdom, like me. But we had a MAJOR difference. Wu was the soon to be king and I was just the daughter of a billionaire. "Look who finally showed up" Wu teased. "Oh please, don't act like you've never been late" "touchè" he chuckled.

Class ended sooner or later and me and Wu walked out class and met up with our other friends, Jinora and Opal. "ASAMI!" Opal shouted across the hall. "OPAL!" I shouted and ran towards her. "It's so good to see you! I feel like I haven't seen you in ages!" Opal exclaimed. Opal was the daughter of Suyin Beifong and Bataar Beifong. She had 4 siblings, Wing and wei, Bataar jr, and Huan. She was Suyin's only daughter.

"But, we saw each other yesterday?" I asked, dumbfounded.

"Yeah, but now it's today, that's a pretty long time. "I don't really think it is becau-" "Okay enough chit-chat. Where's Jinora?" Wu interrupted me. "I think she went to the bathroom" Opal replied, looking like she was trying to remember if that was actually where Jinora was. On que, Jinora walked towards us. No, more like ran toward us. "You guys! It's so great to see you again!" "You too!" Opal said pulling the smaller girl into an embrace.

I just looked at them and smiled. Those two had gotten really close over the years, they hated each other when I first introduced Opal to Jinora. "So Asami~" Wu called. I looked at him and perked a brow. "How's it going with that boyfriend of yours?" Wu asked, raising his brows up and down. "It's actually not going too wel-" "BABE!" I was interrupted with the sound of someone shouting down the hall.

"Speak of the devil." I mumbled and sighed.

Mako ran towards me and kissed my cheek.

"I missed you" he said and smirked.

"I missed you aswell" I said and faked a smile.

"No you didn't" Mako said as his smirk faltered as soon as he saw right through the false information I had given him.

I knew Mako was right. I couldn't miss that excuse of a boyfriend. He didn't dare call me in the summer. The least he could do was text me, but he did the exact opposite. I had tried calling and texting him multiple times,
But to my extremely low expectations, he didn't pick up, nor did he reply to my texts. I was gonna break up with him sooner or later. Perhaps I would break up with him tommorow..

My thoughts were interrupted as the bell rang. "I have maths, i'll see you guys later" I said and was about to walk away when I heard a shout behind me.  "Hold up! I have maths aswell!" Jinora shouted as she caught up with me. "So..How's it going?" I just looked at her and raised a brow in confusion. Jinora let out a breath. "I mean with you and Mako, How's it going?" She replied with more detail.

"Honestly, not well". I replied looking down at my feet. "He's a great guy, i just don't think me and him really go together though". I told Jinora with a sigh.

"Are you thinking about breaking up with him?" Jinora asked as we reached our destination. "Perhaps" I said as we walked into class. I sat at the front thinking about how Mako would react when i break up with him. Would he be sad? Perhaps he would be mad and yell. I couldn't really think.

School was over and i was waiting for dad to pick me up. I was talking to my friends as i felt a vibration coming from my pocket. I took my phone out and saw dad texted me.

Dad- Hey honey, im busy so your mother will pick you up.

I sighed. What was I expecting? Dad does this all the time and it doesn't change even when a new academic year starts. I didn't reply but put my phone back in my pocket.

I saw a black Range Rover pull up and knew that it was my mother. I said bye to the group and got in the car.

"Hey honey, how was school?" My mother asked. "Great" i replied with a false smile. "Well..i hope your not mad at your father..something important came up. He is a-" "yeah
yeah, i know. He's a buisnessman so he cant always have time to do everything". I cut my mother off. She gave me the same lecture every single year, considering the only time dad picked me up was in second grade. I had byhearted every single lecture because she said the same thing everytime.

"God forbid him not showing up to a meeting.." I mumbled under my breath.

We arrived home and i went inside as my mom was still parking the car. As i walked up to the doors of the Manor the guards welcomed me in with a nod. My father was at the dining table with someone who i assumed was one of his business partners. I took my shoes off and was about to head for the stairs when my dad called me. I sighed and walked towards the dining table.

"Asami, this is your new bodyguard, Korra".
