Coach Philippe's POV

January 24, 2021 (Sunday) - 5:31 pm @Volleyball Sports Commission Office.

(note: I just really made the setting up because I don't really know where the sports staff and coaches have their meeting so yeah...)

I just finished the meeting with the managers of the team and now I'm on my way to the parking lot. But I suddenly got a call from my best friend Natsuya Ikuya.

I quickly answered the call and I was a bit surprised about what he told me but slightly smiled after that. I knew that Natsuya is always concerned about her daughter and he would do anything to make her happy.

I instantly agreed to what Natsuya told me and I also told him the schedule of the team. And after that we ended the call. And I resumed walking to the parking lot with a mental note to myself to call Yuki Ishikawa who is the captain of Ryujin Nippon.

I know that these players are big fans of Miyu-chan. Every time that she has competition these boys are always begging me to cancel or delay the practice just for them to watch her games. I always find it amusing.

You might be wondering about my relationship with Miyu-chan. Well technically I'm her Godfather. Her dad and I were great rivals when we were in college but Natsuya decided to lead their family's company and retire from volleyball. So I always knew what was going on about my goddaughter.

There are times that Natsuya and I would go out for a drink and he would always talk about her daughter. He would always praise Miyu-chan for being even for the simple things. You could say that my best friend is a Doting father to his daughter.

And I would never forget the day when her brothers denied her existence on Live National TV. He was furious and what made it worse is that it knocked Miyu-chan unconscious and collapsed on the ground. Never in my life I thought I would see the day when my best friend collapsed and cried uncontrollably.

He always blamed himself for not being able to raise his two sons properly. Not just him but also his wife, Hinari. But I know what they did was more than enough. Their sons are 20 and above, they can think and decide what is wrong and right. They are now independent individuals, they are not to blame. It's all the brother's mistake and they either live with it or atone for it.

After the incident, Natsuya and Hinari, together with their daughter went to the United States for Miyu-chan to recover. And the Ikuya couples legally disowned their sons for Miyu-chan's sake. Miyu doesn't know about this because the Natsuya and Hinari are both not ready to tell them the truth. So those who knew the truth other than them are Kakashi, Natsuya's younger sister, and Me.

As I arrived home I was greeted by my wife and my two sons. After we ate dinner I called Yuki and told him to announce to the rest of the team that we are having an emergency meeting tomorrow at Azure 45 at 10 o'clock sharp. After that I lay in my bed and slept.

Yuki's POV

I was scrolling to my Instagram and then suddenly coach Philippe is calling me. I wonder why he would call me at this hour. I immediately answered:

Yuki: Mosh Moshi (Hello) coach?

Coach Blain: Mosh Moshi (Hello) Yuki, can you tell your other teammates that we are going to have an emergency meeting and we will meet someone important tomorrow at 10 o'clock sharp.

Yuki: Sure coach, who are we meeting?

Coach: Questions will be all answered tomorrow. Be your best behavior tomorrow okay?

Yuki: You make it look like we are all 5-year old kids

I deadpanned

Coach Blain: Well aren't you all?

He jokingly replied, I can hear him chuckling behind the phone

Yuki: Hai, Wakatta Ojisan (Yes I got it, grandfather)

I chuckled as I replied it for revenge

Coach Blain: Yuki!-

Yuki: Alright Bye Coach! Oyasumi (Goodnight)

I ended the call, before I got any punishment.

After the call I messaged our Team group chat and announced to the team what Coach had told me. I wonder who we are going to meet tomorrow. I have a gut feeling that something will happen tomorrow. I just don't know whether it is good or a bad thing.

I hope it will be good news. My team and I had a rough two weeks with this kinda pick me girl. She always tells us what to do and it's driving us crazy. Why can't she just be Miyuki Ikuya? We would be more than happy to serve her.

Good thing she is gone now and went to the next victim, the Ikuya brothers. It seems that they don't have a clue that she is just using them, more than that they treated her well more than they ever treated Miyuki Ikuya, their own sister.

Yes I know, what really happened. My teammates and I just happened to be at the right time and in the right place...
