CHAPTER 16: 2 YEARS AGO... (II)

Yuki's POV

January 14, 2019 (2 years ago)

We were in the audience's seat and cheering out loud for Miyuki Ikuya. After a few minutes we all happily celebrated because Miyuki had won another gold medal. We were proud of her and we were planning to approach her and it just so happened that she just finished her interview. As we are nearing towards her, I noticed that she is staring at the Ikuya brother's interview a few meters in front of her. And between her and the Ikuya brothers were lots of people, reporters and photographers.

When the reporter asked the Ikuya brothers if they are related to Miyuki Ikuya, they looked at each other and denied that they are related. I looked back at Miyuki and she turned pale and a few moments later, she fainted. Luckily her parents and friends were beside her so they quickly caught her before she hit the ground.

The medic immediately responded and carefully put her into a stretcher and rushed toward the ambulance. The people in the gymnasium were shocked and worried, including us. We never expected that would happen on such a happy day.

My teammates and I also rushed to the van that we are using and I started to drive towards the Tokyo medical center because that's the nearest hospital in Sendai gym. On the way to the hospital, we are all praying for Miyuki to be alright. We know that we have no personal connections with Miyuki, we don't know her personally and vice versa. But it seems that we cannot take our eyes off the girl. There is something about her that is very captivating. Anyone would be lucky to be her brother.

Brothers...

And I stopped in thought when I suddenly recalled the events minutes before Miyuki fainted.

Yuji: Could it be that the Ikuya brothers and Miyuki are siblings?

Sitting in the passenger seat is Yuji nishida. He broke the heavy silence in the car as he spoke, we all looked at each other.

I clicked my tongue and answered

Yuki: There is a high possibility, we all saw how Miyuki reacted the moment when the two brothers said that they are not related.

Kento: Did something happen to those three? Or are the brothers are just plain stupid?

Yamauchi: I think they are just plain stupid. If it was a fight whether it was small or big, it's not an excuse to deny your sister's existence in public.

After one of the middle blockers spoke the silence came back.

Yuji's POV

As we were now approaching the hospital, Yuki immediately parked the car and we quickly went inside the hospital. We all dashed towards the information desk and asked Miyuki Ikuya, after Yuki lied to the nurse that he is her cousin, and they said that she is still at the emergency room. And told us to wait for a while.

While we were waiting we were all feeling very anxious and worried about Miyuki Ikuya. Kami-sama, please let her be okay. Please, we still want to meet her and get to know her. We want to get close to her and treat her like her brothers could not do.

Just why is this happening to her?

After we waited for half an hour the nurse informed us that Miyuki's condition is now stable and now they are moving her to the private room because she hasn't regained her consciousness.

We all sighed in relief knowing that she will be okay. And a few minutes after that we felt angry, angry at the Ikuya brothers who unknowingly hurt their sister. It seems they don't care whatever happens to their sister. They don't deserve to have an amazing sister like Miyuki.

Then I heard Yuki-san Spoke

Yuki: As an older brother, I despise those types of people.

Masahiro: I agree they don't need to exist in this world.

I can understand that Yuki-san is angry but I never expected to hear those words from our captain. Well I can't blame anyone who knew what really happened would be pissed off at the Ikuya brothers.

Masahiro: I really feel bad for Miyuki, she may have started doing swimming as a sport so that her brothers would acknowledge her.

Our eyes widened as we all looked at each other and realized what Masahiro-san made sense. Hayst. This is a pain.

I know she doesn't deserve what she is going through right now. We wanted to comfort her but it seems that our world and her world won't intersect with each other. We wanted to show her that many people love her. But it seems that we are just meant to cheer her from afar.

Masahiro's POV

This is a pain. The Ikuya brothers, just what the heck are they thinking. What more do they want from Miyuki?! We are all in the hospital lobby probably thinking the same.

Just then we saw coach Blain and he was heading towards us and we were shocked because we didn't expect him to be here. But then we realized that we all skipped practice just to watch the competition.

As me and my teammates are about to run away, the coach yelled

Coach Blain: Where the hell do you all think you're going?!

We shivered at his words and looked at him. And we swear we can see his eyes burning with fire.

Masahiro: uhhh eto, Yuji-chan is having a tummy ache

He answered nervously

Coach Blain: Oh really? Are you sure you are here because of Yuji's tummy ache or because you all saw Miyuki Ikuya fainted and got rushed to the hospital?

We all gulped at what Coach said.

Ryujin Nippon: Damn we are in deep trouble.

We thought as we looked at each other.

After a few stares he sighed and answered.

Coach Blain: I heard some nurses and doctors talking that she is going to be okay. She just needed some rest so you don't have to worry.

We all felt a little relieved at what the coach said and we knew that we just have to pray and hope that Miyuki will be okay.

Coach Blain: Yosh, after all that happened today, let's all go home and take a rest shall we? I've been finding your asses this whole day your going to shorten my lifespan at this point

We laughed and answered:

Ryujin Nippon: Hai! Coach, Arigatou Gozaimasu.
