"Why didn't you tell us?" Hoseok asks once they're all seated on the couch, facing each other with a tense atmosphere between them. Namjoon is still clinging onto Yoongi, dozing off with tiredness. His rut ended just a few hours ago but he's still feeling needy and completely attached to the omega.

"I didn't want to get kicked out of the band. Omegas aren't usually allowed to work in this industry, but I just- I can't imagine doing anything else other than this. I want to continue making music and performing on stage, and I won't let anything stop me from doing that."

"But hyung," Jungkook speaks up for the first time that day, looking a little agitated. "Omegas live a dangerous life. That's why they're protected so much. That's why you should be protected too. You should've told us. Holding your heats back would be bad for your body. Does the management even know?"

Yoongi looks fondly at the beta. He really has grown up. "It's okay. I can take care of myself. Besides, I have you guys, right? Nothing bad will happen."

They all looked a little calmer after that, asking permission to scent him which Yoongi immediately approved of. They took their time, nuzzling into the side of Yoongi's neck and letting their own scent linger there. When it was Taehyung's turn, he catches Yoongi's gaze with those intimidating eyes of his, hands finding their way to Yoongi's sides and letting them linger there. "I've been waiting for you to present for so long," he says, and Yoongi swears there's something glinting in those eyes. "Hyung," he whispers, lips hovering directly against his scent gland. "Can I court you?"

Yoongi's eyes widen at the question, hands finding their way towards Taehyung's chest and pushing him lightly. "You have Jimin. What the hell are you talking about?"

"Well, I want to court you too," Jimin speaks up from behind, giving Yoongi a huge grin and a wink. "I think everyone does, actually. We've been waiting for you to present in so long."

Since that day, everyone started trying to be a lot closer to Yoongi. They are very obvious with what they want and Yoongi kind of finds it amusing how desperate they suddenly act like just to gain his favor. They don't even hold back in public or in front of the fans. They would proudly show off how good they are at courting Yoongi (which makes the fans cry and scream in excitement and make Yoongi blush so red to the point where he thinks he'll explode).

Seokjin is almost the same as before, cooking Yoongi his favorite meals, making sure he doesn't overwork himself, showers him with ridiculous gifts, and insists on sleeping together on the same bed since he now knows why Yoongi loves his scent so much. Seokjin takes pride in being the first alpha Yoongi has ever been attracted to. He boasts about it to everyone, and talks about how he definitely has the highest chance to gain Yoongi's affection quickly. It's cute, Yoongi thinks, how Seokjin is finally being so open about his feelings.

Namjoon is very proud and loud about it. A typical alpha, so different from Seokjin. He confidently boasts about being the first alpha to have Yoongi on his rut, and he now initiates physical contact with Yoongi despite being reluctant before. Yoongi thought before that if packs still exist in this modern era, Namjoon would be perfect for the title of a pack alpha. And seeing how Namjoon becomes a lot protective over him when they're in public, shielding his short stature with his tall one just so he wouldn't feel overwhelmed by other alphas, Yoongi can confirm that his thoughts were right.

Taehyung is just a whole tease. He keeps on leaving lingering touches on Yoongi, intense eyes trained on him even when they're in front of the public, in an interview, or even when they're on the stage in front of the fans. He finds pleasure in making Yoongi flush red, fidgeting as he tries to act indifferent despite obviously being affected by Taehyung's intense pheromones surrounding him almost aggressively. He's the youngest alpha but he tries to act dependable most of the time, exerting his dominance on the omega as much as possible.
