burden

third POV:

it was the middle of the night, everyone were asleep, or at least they were trying to sleep without having a nightmare. all but izumi. instead, she was packing a bag. she was shaking a lot. she wore a brave face but she was scared and panicking on the inside. but she had to do it, she had to make his death not for a vain. she had to make allmight proud. 

she was still injured, clutching her stomach, she remembered the face of ALL FOR ONE on the screen, seeing him grin and laugh maniacally despite his dark helmet, it shook her core. and OFA was damaged. but she was still willing to go. to stop the madness unleashed to the country. 

it was hard for her, with each step her cursed wound hurt, making her wanna fell to the ground and clutch her stomach. but she knew she had to endure it for the sake of the people. so she shut her mouth and sneaked away form the dorms. she was close to the gate.

izumi: "I have to do this. for allmight"

she closed her eyes one last time, readying herself. but she heard a voice.

izuku: "where do you think you are going?"

she looked at the entrance where izuku appeared out of nowhere and stared at him shocked.

izumi: "o-onii-chan!?!? h-how!?"

izuku: "does it matter? where do you think you are going?"

izumi: "I.......... I need to go onii-chan........I ............ I have to fight. the people are afraid, they need a hero!!"

izuku: "there are heroes out there. thousands of agencies with even more heroes. so why are you here??"

izumi: "b-but they are not almight!!! people need a symbol....... s-so please"

izuku: "you are not fighting shit with that condition."

izumi: "b-b-but I have to!!! please!!!!"

izuku: "and why is that?!"

izuku uttered, his tone was harsh and demanding for an answer. izumi winced at his voice.

izumi: "I........... I cant tell you. I want to but I cant, e-enough people are hurt because of it.........*sob*...... so please understand."

izumi: "I dont need to understand!! I need to keep you safe!!"

she looked down, she wanted to tell him, tell him about the OFA and how it was her responsibility. but she remembered the USJ incident. if she were to confess now, she felt like as if all that would have been for nothing.

izumi: "I............. I cant........ I am sorry, people are waiting, I need to go........"

izuku: "I will not let you."

izumi was crying but she knew what she had to do. she charged up OFA. but the moment she did, the curse activated. her whole body began to shake and she felt pain like no other. she began to scream in pain. 

she began to blast him with light projectiles, but izuku easily dodged them. she sent a larger one but izuku simply blasted it away with the back of his hand. making a decently loud sound. she charged for another powerful attack.

izuku: "ENOUGH ALREADY!!! STAND DOWN!!!"

but she didnt. izuku simply gritted his teeth. leaving with no other option, he used dragon fear on izumi. suddenly she was covered by dense darkness. she could not see or hear anything. all she sensed was the crushing darkness that surrounded her. she felt a kind of primal fear like no other. it triggered her trauma from the USJ, at the same time, she could hear AFO's statement echo inside her mind.  once again she felt powerless, helpless, alone, begging it to stop. izuku quickly deactivated the ability but by the time he stopped and reached for her, the damage was done. she fell backwards with her eyes closed. crying from pain and fear. she crawl backwards with her arms up.
