"What happened to your cheek?" I asked. "It's nothing," he told me. "Oh Luther! Have you seen Allison?" Viktor asked. "What the hell happened?" Luther asked. Viktor touched his cheek. "It's uh—it's not as bad as it looks," Viktor replied. "It looks as if you're lucky to be upright. Did Harlan do that?" Luther asked. "We just got in a disagreement," Viktor said. "About what?" I asked. "It doesn't matter," Viktor avoided. "So I just checked the perimeter. We're good," Diego walked up to us. "Now, we're gonna have to take turns," Diego told us. "Oh my god! What happened to you? Was it Harlan?" Luther asked. Diego had a big slash on the back of his neck. "What?" Diego asked. "The Sparrows are right. He shouldn't be here. He's dangerous," Luther explained. "He's only dangerous because I made him that way. This is my problem and I appreciate your concern, but I'm gonna figure it out. I'm gonna fix it," Viktor insisted. "What's going on?" Allison asked. "Oh my god. He got you too?" Luther asked. "You okay?" Allison asked Viktor. "Great you?" Viktor asked. "Never better," Allison responded. Diego showed off his cut to me. "Wow that's so amazing," I sarcastically said. "It's badass ain't it?" he asked. Suddenly, a portal opened, causing us to back away from it. Lila and Five came out of it, and crash down on the floor. Five and Lila kicked each other off of one another. "Where have you been?" Viktor asked. "Facing my mortality, Viktor. I don't recommend it," Five answered, as he got up. "You had the briefcase? We've been looking for this!" Allison's exclaimed. She bent down and took ahold of it. "Look no further. That's the last one on earth. Or it was the last one," Five replied. She angrily dropped it and scoffed. Five picked it up. "Yeah that's toast. Oh shit. All right," Five muttered. Lila went over to hug Diego. "Wait. You're happy to me. What's wrong?" Diego asked her. "Turns out there's less time to hold grudges than I had planned. You're off the hook. Hey where's Stan?" Lila asked. "Excuse me. One second," Luther pulled Diego away. "Did you and Allison get in some kind of fight last night?" I asked him. "Hell yes! We kicked some serious ass last night," Diego whispered. "What the hell's gotten into this family?" Luther asked. "I don't know but it's awesome. Swear to god, I've never seen her do things like she did yesterday. She was brutal. It's fine. You know, just needed to blow some steam off. I helped. She's good. (Y/n) wanna join in on the next one?" Diego asked. "Uh no," Luther answered for me. "Hey, Chatty Cathy's, quit the chitchat, all right? I'm calling a family meeting here," Five stated. "Where's Klaus?" Five asked. "Haven't seen him since he was babysitting Stanley," I told him. "I'll be right back," Diego said. "Dieg—lost another. Great," Five spoke. "Spit it out, Five," Allison angrily demanded. "Oh, well, since you asked so nicely, sister mine, our little paradox brought forth a freaking Kugelblitz," Five answered. "What the hell is a Kugelblitz?" Viktor asked.Five was serving us drinks at the bar. "So this Kugelblitz, it's—?" Viktor asked. "The end of everything. Every rock, every star, every atom sucked into a radiant black hole," Five explained. "Randomly collapsing matter every moment in time across all existence till nothing's left," Lila added. "Hate to say I told you so, but—" Five got cut off. "You love to say I told you so," Viktor finished. "You know, it's impressive. Whoever knocked off your mums hated you all enough to end the entire universe," Lila said. "We don't know that," Viktor denied. "It doesn't matter who created the thing. We just have to kick it's ass," Allison explained. "Oh really? How? Are you and Diego gonna punch it in the Kugel?" Luther asked. "The best plan is to go back in time and eliminate the paradox and destroy whatever it was that took our mothers and stop the Kugelblitz before it starts, but we can't do that. Briefcase is kaput," Five explained. "And why the hell can't you just jump us out of here?" Allison asked. "Last time I tried that, we all got trapped in time. Do you really wanna risk that again?" Five asked. "So what's plan B?" Viktor asked. Klaus, Diego, and Stanley walked towards us. Klaus took Five's drink out of his hand. "What happened to you?" Five asked. "Oh just a speargun to the chest. No big deal," Klaus replied. "Aunt (Y/n)! What's up!" Stanley exclaimed. "You're done cleaning all those rooms?" I asked. "Sure am," he told me. Next thing we know, a serge of energy passed by us. "What was that?" Diego asked. "That was a Kugel wave. It's getting worse," Five sighed. "How long do we have?" I asked. "At this rate of escalation, if you factor in—" Five got interrupted. "How long Five!" Luther shouted. "Four, maybe five days before the rest of existence is blitzed," he sighed. "Hm. Maybe I should go spend the rest of my days in that theme park," I muttered. "That was fun! We should've tried the snake one next to it. You could see people throwing up," Stanley told me. "Roller coaster? What have you been doing these past few days?" Five asked. "Dying. Or at least almost dying," I responded. "We should've given them Harlan," Luther cried out. "Luther," Viktor warned. "What about Harlan?" Diego asked. "The Sparrows said if we turned him over, we could end the fighting, and then work together to save the world," I explained. "But we tried to make peace. Okay, and then the step-siblings from hell attacked, kidnapped you, and they tried to kill us. I mean, come on. We can't trust them. Working together would be like trying to defuse a bomb by pouring gas on it. It's only gonna make things burn down faster," Viktor explained. "But don't we need the big bad glow-y thing in their basement?" Klaus asked. Everyone looked at him. "Klaus, do you know where the Kugelblitz is?" Five asked. "Oh yeah. I saw it. When I went to visit Dad. It's in the old storage room where Mom used to keep all her luggage," Klaus explained. "Why didn't you tell anyone?" Diego asked. "I did. I told you and (Y/n)," Klaus defended. "You say stupid shit all the time!" Diego exclaimed. "Of course. It appeared in the same place we did," Five muttered. Everyone started to argue, as Viktor left with Luther going after him. I got up and went after them. They started arguing and I heard some of it. "Covering what?" I asked. "What's going on?" Five asked. Everyone appeared behind us. "He didn't mean to hurt anyone," Viktor explained. "Really? You mean, when he did this?" Luther pointed at Viktors scar. "Wait Harlan did that?" Five asked. "That's it, I'm gonna end him," Luther hissed. "Look, I know how it looks, but Harlan didn't ask for this. If we hadn't gone back to 1963, if I hadn't save him—" Viktor got interrupted. "He killed Jayme and Alphonso, not you. He's the reason we're in this mess, and he's our only way out of it," Luther remarked. "Luther's right. If we're gonna have an iota of a chance of getting out of this alive, we need access to the Kugelblitz," Five agreed. "There's only four of them left. We can just overpower them," Viktor suggested. "What, and risk losing some of us in the process? Harlan is insignificant," Five explained. "You told me once that no one is insignificant. They'll kill him," Viktor said. "Uh so? We are talking about one person versus saving billions of lives here. I mean, is this really a debate for you people?" Lila asked. "Hey little Britain? You don't get a vote," Viktor raged. "Well Diego's right. She's family now," I disagreed. "Thanks kitten," Lila responded. "I don't give a shit about the Sparrows, but I'm not gonna let scary-ass Grandpa finish you off," Diego argued. "Five days ago, he was just a little kid. And what? Now I'm suppose to just decide whether he lives or dies?" Viktor asked. "Viktor, we're down to ethical triage here, all right? We can't save everyone. The kindest cut wins," Five advised. "You always wanted to be on the team. This is what it is. Saving the world means making the hard calls," Luther explained. "I hate this," Viktor replied. "Yeah I know. I'll go get him," Luther told him. Viktor stopped Luther. "Wait no. Let me do it. He trusts me. I can convince him to come quietly," Viktor explained. He walked up the stairs and left. Five tapped on my shoulder. "Seems like we have some catching up to do," he told me. "I guess so," I agreed.
