(𝗬/𝗻)'s 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 still on Lila's neck. "You've got a good nose," the Handler told Five. "You know, planting her in a psych ward, taking advantage of my simpleton brother, that was smart," Five confessed. "Well the apple doesn't fall far from the tree," the Handler said. (Y/n) and Five both looked at the Handler. "She's your—" (Y/n) got interrupted. "Daughter. Yes. And she's my only one. So I'd appreciate it if you didn't crush her windpipe," the Handler interrupted. (Y/n) took her foot off of Lila's neck. Lila quickly got up, panting. She looked at
(Y/n), stepping closer to her. "I am so going to enjoy killing you someday," Lila threatened (Y/n). "Not if I kill you first," (Y/n) shot back. "Lila darling would give us a minute please?" the Handler ordered. "Yes, the grown-ups need to talk," Five agreed. Lila walked away. "What is it you want?" Five asked. "Do you guys like jazz?" the Handler asked."I'd rather lick a cheese grater," Five responded. "You (Y/n)?" the Handler asked. "I have no preference," (Y/n) responded. The Handler chuckled. "Aww. Jazz is like a beautiful woman," the Handler assured them. She started to walk away from them. "Complex, emotional, hard to please. She doesn't just give it to you—she makes you work for it," the Handler listed. "I'm really hoping that you're going somewhere with this," Five groaned. "Under my leadership, the Commission would sound more like—jazz," the Handler told them, now walking closer to the duo. "And what about the board of directors?" Five asked her. "Well that's where you both come in," the Handler answered. "Nope. No it isn't," Five responded. "In exchange for the assassination of the board, I'm willing to get you and your family out of this timeline and back to 2019 where you belong," The Handler negotiated. "What about World War III that's due to kick off in just a few days?" Five asked her. "Once you both and your siblings are gone, that goes away," the Handler assured him. "And the apocalypse when we get back to 2019?" (Y/n) asked. "That too," the Handler replied. "Well I distinctly remember you telling us that, that apocalypse had to happen, that it was supposed to happen," Five recalled. "Back then I was toeing the company line. But once I'm in charge—we can riff," the Handler told them. "Jazz," (Y/n) whispered. "Exactly," the Handler agreed. "What about the board of directors, hmm? I mean, nobody knows who they are," Five asked. "Correct. But once every fiscal quarter they get together for a board meeting," the Handler replied. "Where?" Five asked.  "The question is when. They meet somewhere in the timeline but never in the same place twice. The exact location and date of these board meetings is the most closely-guarded secret in the Commission," the Handler explained. "But you know where it's gonna be, don't you?" (Y/n) asked. "Would I be any good at what I do if I didn't," the Handler asked her. "We Need some time to think about it," Five told the Handler. "Fine," the Handler responded. Five grabbed (Y/n)'s hand, walking away. "But remember, doomsday's right around the corner. And the way things are going, I'm your only option," the Handler told them. "Not yet you aren't," Five shouted. Then, he spatial jumped him and (Y/n) away.

"Okay well there's no way this is going to happen right?" (Y/n) asked Five. The two had been walking to an address for about 25 minutes. "I don't know. But that's our last option," Five responded. "That lady is crazy. I would not be surprised if we find out that she had another kid," (Y/n) blurted out. "Yeah. I didn't see that one coming," Five agreed. He stopped (Y/n) by holding her shoulder still. "What?" (Y/n) asked. "Listen, the Handler expects both you and I to kill the board of directors. But (Y/n), I don't want you to kill anyone. I don't even want to kill them. But if it turns out to be the last option here, then I'll do it. I never enjoyed the killing. And I don't want to set you down that path," Five explained. "I get it. And I'm sorry you went through that, I really am. But it's not like her request is actually the only option we have. We'll figure something out. Especially you," (Y/n) declared. Five gave her a soft smile in return. He then took out the invitation that (Y/n) and him were given earlier. "This is it. Let's go," Five told the girl. The two proceeded to open the doors of the building and go up the stairs. Five clicked on the elevator button. Once the door opened the duo walked in. Five pressed on the button that led to the top floor. Before the doors could close, someone opened it. "Wait up," Diego said. (Y/n) and Five scooted to their right. "Hold it," Allison appeared. Not a second later, Klaus, Vanya, and Luther came in as well. "Excuse me," Luther whispered. Five wrapped his arms around (Y/n), due to the little space they had. "Good. We're all here," Five said out loud. Then, the doors to the elevator closed.
