November (Monday): Emma's POV

In my history class I met Ari. She had brown hair, green-blue eyes, and freckles dancing across her face.

"Hey is this seat taken?" I asked

"No it's not actually." She answered politely.

The bell rung, Mrs. B, our history teacher, spoke about the lesson on Ancient Egypt and told us to work in pairs for our classwork. We were already sitting next to each other, so we decided to work together. We finished our assignment in ten minutes and we had easily more than half an hour until the end of class.

"So Emma tell me about yourself." Ari said

"Well um... I don't know where to start really? Let's see, I have an older brother, his name is Jake, and he's two years older. I like arts & crafts or anything creative really. How about you?" I said

"Well for me I have two sisters, I'm the middle child. Megan is the eldest, she's a year older and there's Valerie she's eight. Oh, and I like reading."

She looked like a book worm. It was nice to know someone who didn't just like going shopping or texting.

"Did you do anything this summer?" I ask trying to get to know her better.

"Yea I did, I went to the beach a lot with my family and then went to Orlando to see my aunt. You?"

'Okay so she likes spending time with her family.' I think to myself.

"I spent a lot of time in a dance camp and then went to Disney with my family." I said blankly but not meaning to it just didn't sound that interesting to share.

"That sounds like fun! What do you dance, anything specific?"

"I dance a bit of everything I guess. I started with ballet and tap, then I moved to hip-hop and modern."

"That's nice I wish I could dance. I have two left feet!" Ari said
We both laughed at her comment. The bell rang, signaling us to our next period: lunch. We turned in our assignment to the front of the class and we were off. I walked to my locker to put my books away and started heading to the cafeteria.

"Hey Emma come sit with me at lunch." Ari yells from somewhere in the hallway.

"Sure um I'll look for you!" I yell back.

She was tiny so I could barely see her in the swamp of people. She sent me a thumbs up, so I'm guessing she heard me. Entering the cafeteria I started for the lunch line. The cafeteria lunch options were pizza, salad, or bologna sandwiches. I hate bologna so I guess I'm stuck with a salad. Yay! *Note the sarcasm. I got my salad, orange juice, and yogurt. I wasn't trying to go for the healthy lunch but I didn't have much to choose from. I instantly found Ari's table they were sitting towards the end near a big window.

"Hey." I say as I slowly approached the table.

"Hey! Guys this is Emma, I met her in History." Ari says introducing me to her friends.
They all waved and responded with a 'hey' and 'hello'. I sat down next to Ari to my left and to my right was a girl with long curly brown hair that cascaded down her back. She had pretty green eyes and nice olive skin.

"Hi I'm Spencer." She greeted me with a smile which I gladly returned.

"Hey, Emma."

"So Emma so you play any sports?" Asked a boy with light brown hair and a football in his hand. He was sitting in front of Ari and had a little group of guys next to him.

"Not really, I like to play but not for school." I said.

"What about cheerleading? Are you into that?" He asks
