I'm sitting on my bed looking for scary tiktoks for a new video when I hear the front door open, I hear Sam talking followed by Kat's voice, I rush out of my room to greet Sam at the door, as I'm walking down the stairs Sam looks at me and points to his ears, I have a bad past with yelling because my parents would always fight, Sam rolls his eyes and gestures that they're will be yelling, he mouths the words "I'm sorry" then gestures for me to go to my room and close the door. I turn of my headphones and turn them all the way up. i run over to my bed, get my water bottle, and run over to my closet and get in it. My closet feels safe because when my parents would fight I would sit in my closet with my stuffie and cry.
***Time skip***
I paused my music to see if they were still fighting, "I WALK INTO THE BAR AND YOU WERE KISSING ANOTHER PERSON KATRINA, KISSING" I hear Sam yelling, I flinch and turn my music back on but their yelling got louder and louder, so loud where I could hear them yelling when my headphones were at full volume, I feel tears form in my eyes as I hear the front door slam which makes the whole house shake. I take off my headphones and hear something get thrown followed by Sam yelling "FUCK" that's all I hear before I hear crying. I slowly exit my room with my headphones on but not playing anything, Kat was gone and I just see Sam at the kitchen counter with his head in his hands crying, "Sammy?" I say quietly trying not to make him mad in case he wants to be alone right now, Sam looks up at me with widened eyes, he wipes his tears, "is everything ok?" I say taking a step down the stairs, he shakes his head while tears run from his eyes, "do you want to be left alone?" He shakes his head again and gestures for me to come "colbs..." He says as I take a few steps down the stairs "please come here" Sam says as he wipes the tears away from his eyes, I get to the bottom of the stairs and walk over to the kitchen counter where Sam is still crying, "what's wrong?" I say as he's turns to face me, his eyes are puffy and red from crying so much and he looks so sad, I hate seeing him like this. Sam doesn't say anything, he just hugs me tight and crys into my chest, I hug him back " hey You wanna go lay down?" I say rubbing his back, he nods his head so we walk upstairs, "my room or yours?" Sam points to my door and I open it letting him inside, He goes over to my bed and sits down on it looking down at the floor as I walk over to him and sit next to him, "colby can we please lay down?" He says still staring at the floor, "yea" I say looking at him, he lays down and so do I, Sam looks at me still with tears in his eyes, we lay there in silence until he pulled me close and hugged me "she cheated..." Is all he said before holding me tighter and crying into my chest "oh my god Sam" I hug him tight "are you ok?" I say burying my head into his neck, "yea I'm fine, plus I've had someone else in my mind lately" Sam says with his arms still wrapped around me but looser, "who?" I look at his brown hair confused "well, it's a guy and he's been my friend for a looking time, how do I tell him?" He says burying his head deeper into my chest " well if he's been your friend for a long time then I say go for it" he looks up at me " colbs, the person on my mind is you..." He says looking at my lips, "Sam" I look at him confused because he was just crying his eyes out because of Katrina" I know colbs, you don't feel the same way" I stop him from speaking again by kissing him, he freezes for the whole kiss
