Sport's greatest competition is on the horizon, and although I am not feeling that football spirit this time around, I'll still be tuning in to support my team/s and recording the results on a day-to-day basis.

Qatar are the first hosts in the history of the World Cup to lose the opening match.
Verdict:
I did not find the opening game exciting as I was almost lulled to sleep, but I endured it. Qatar did not come alive at all, but I am still hoping to see more from them as the tournament progresses. At least a little bit.
Valencia had a great game for Ecuador, and I expect them to continue to prove the doubters wrong.
