ミ☆ chapter three; unexpected outsider

"Are you sure I'm allowed to be here?"

Despite the girl next to her absolutely freaking out, Shuri managed a laugh. "You won't get in trouble if I'm with you. Calm down."

The garden was absolutely mesmerizing. It was indoors, although the sun still peeked through the grass just enough for the plants to grow healthily. Renza knew she'd lose count if she tried to figure out how many flowers were in the large room. Needless to say, the garden was most definitely a sight to see.

"How often do you come over here?" Renza inquired, finally tearing her eyes away from the flame lilies.

"Not often," She answered truthfully. "You know I'm always in the lab. Come on."

Renza didn't expect Shuri to interlace her hand with Renza's. She should've been used to it by now, but it always felt different. Even though it caught her off guard, she quickly melted into her touch comfortably. She unexpectedly began running throughout the area, dragging Renza with her.

"This is my favorite part about this place," Shuri commented, finally coming to a halt.

It was something of a waterfall. It filled up the beautifully decorated pond that was directly below it. It looked like something directly out of a movie.

"I can't believe you don't come here everyday," Renza managed to say, despite being left speechless at what sight her eyes were currently set on. "It's so peaceful here."

"I know," She said before turning to Renza and flashing her pearly whites. "Maybe I'll take you here with me from now on so I'm not so lonely."

"I'd love that," Renza confirmed, mimicking Shuri's smile.

"Princess, I advise for you and Renza to report back to the lab. Ross could wake up at any moment," Griot advised, chiming in at the worst time, like he always does.

Shuri turned off her kimoyo beads after Griot spoke before looking back up at her friend. "There was more things I wanted to show you here, but I'll guess we'll have to save that for another time."

Renza watched quietly as Shuri worked on another invention. A side one, if you will. She didn't prioritize this project, she just worked on it when she had the time. She was making it for herself.
