Many, many centuries ago, a man named Jhane Kwakye had fallen in love. People believed that Jahne fell for a woman who went by the name of Akiah Mesu. It was an alias, simply used to protect the only person he loved more than himself. The only person who knew her real name was the Jahne himself. It was to remain that way.
It was important that nobody knew Akiah's true identity was Akosua, Goddess of the sun.
Akosua had spent too much time walking the Earth carelessly, and she eventually fell head over heels for a human located in Wakanda. Their love was so strong that the powerful deity refused to break things off with this man. She chose him, rather than the Gods, and for that, she was punished.
Akosua was condemned to Earth, unable to leave. What was torture at first soon turned to paradise when she realized that although she could only live as long as humans did, her abilities were not taken away from her. Once reunited with her Wakandan boyfriend, Akosua spent the rest of her mortal life with him, making a family in the process.
Now, this tale had been passed down generation to generation. It was not believed to be true due to the fact that not a soul in their blood line inherited the deity's power. There was a rumor that only the strongest ones in their family tree could be granted such power. Then, Renza Kwakye was born.
