  "Where are you going in this time of night, Coco? It's almost 10pm."

  It was the prick.

"I've got an important meeting to attend to." I answered and continued to untie the rope of the yacht.

"Pero gabi na. Delikado"

"I can take care of myself, Mr. Lacson."

  He leaned his head on the right and crossed his arms.
"So, were back with Mr. Lacson again?"

"Sorry. Uhm, Ma...Mafyia."

Damn! How can this man be so demanding?

"Bakit parang ang hirap para sayo ang tawagin ako sa pangalan ko?"

  You have no idea.

I forced a smile at him.

"But still, I won't let you go this late."

"Excuse me?"

"Look, hindi mo alam kung gaano ka-delikado ang gabi."

"Oh, believe me, I know."
I said giving a double meaning to my statement. Of course I know how dangerous the night is.

  It caused me my virginity, and my happiness. Even for Kai, it took away her future. The night's been the time of the day for some people to be in pain, and for some people to hurt others.

"Sasamahan kita."

"What? No!"

"Why?"

"I don't want anyone tagging along. I am going to meet someone."

  He stared at me.
"Boyfriend?"

"Does that concern you?"

"I wanted to make sure you're safe. Alam ba nila manang na aalis ka?"

"They don't have to know. Besides, I ain't doing anything wrong or anything that concerns them, you, or anyone."

"You're like a rebel right now, Coco. Para kang teenager na nagagalit kasi nahuli ng tatay sa aktong pagtakas."

"And you're playing the father?"

He grinned. I dunno what was that grin for. But hell, it annoyed me.

"You know what? To hell with you. I'm going."

"Sasabihin ko kina manang na umalis ka."

"Do it"

"Really? Gusto mong bulabugin ko sila para lang itanong kung saan ka pupunta?"

I turned to him.
"What?"

"I asked if you want me to disturb them at this time of the night when they should be resting and sleeping soundly just to ask and report?"

  I shouldn't care. But it's manang and Lanie. I can't do that to them. Plus, manang might slip if she worries about me a lot.

"Argh! You're getting into my nerves, Lacson!"

Again with that piece of freaking shit grin.

"Trust me, Coco. I would love to not just get into your nerves."

"What? Are you trying to pick a fight with me?"

"No, I am asking kung isasama mo na ba ako?"

I started breathing in and out deeply. This is really getting into my nerves. But I can't let him tag along. I took one last breathe in and out.

"Look, Mafyia, I really have to go. There's this emergency I have to attend to. It's a family affair. And you really don't have to accompany me."

"Tell me where you are going."
