"Gising na siya."

I exhaled a sharp breath before I stopped working and closed my laptop. I stood up and faced Lanie.

"Where is he?"

"Nasa kwarto pa rin."
She gave me playful smile, "Act well ha?"

"Shut up!"

I just ignored her laughter and went straight to the room where Mafyia is.

"Calm down, Pryce. You can do this. Control your temper. You're one step closer." I am convincing myself as I walked the distance between my room and his.

I kept him inside my house in our island. Lanie insisted that I should keep him under my sight. And even if I don't want to, Lanie has a point.

I cleared my throat as I reached his room and knocked. But he didn't respond. I knocked again, but nothing. My forehead started to knot. I held the doorknob and turned it open, guessing if it isn't locked. And it isn't.

I slightly opened the door and peeked inside. There I saw Mafyia seated on the middle of the bed, head down and hands on his temple.

"Ma-m-Mr. Lacson?"

He looked up to me seemingly recognizing my voice.

"You!"

I fully let myself in and closed the door. I made sure that it's locked so no maids nor anyone can come in. They can't doubt me. I promised myself that our community won't be involved in this.

"What did you do to me? How did I get here? Where am I?"

I sighed. Being with him in one room destabilizes my heartbeat and my emotions.

"Hey! Why aren't you speaking? Are you the cause of this? Answer me!"

I closed my eyes to calm myself as he raised his voice at me. And my breathing changed. I closed both my hands into a fist, suppressing my anger.

Fuck you for shouting at me!
Fuck you! Fuck you!

I opened my eyes instantly as I felt hands on both of my shoulders. In a blink, I am seeing the piece of shit close to me. My mind went blank and I immediately grab his left arm and twisted it.

"Aww-shit!"

Soon as he is wincing with the pain, I kicked him at his stomach, causing him to fall on the floor. I remained standing and just watched him curling up in pain. Seeing him in this state, my heartbeat normalized.

Ha! That actually made me feel better.

"What the fuck?!"

I quickly joined him, pulling on a worrying act.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Lacson. I-I was shocked."

He is mumbling words I cannot understand as he is standing up while I watch him. I won't hold him again, no. Who knows what I can do to him once he destabilize me again.

"So, why am I here?"

"You said you wanted to see the island."

"I said what? We are in an island?"

"You did."

He looked down seemingly puzzled. Then he massaged his temple.
"Why can't I remember anything?"

"I don't know, Mr. Lacson. We were having a nice drink earlier when you lost consciousness in the middle of sipping your wine. I thought you were so drunk that's why you fell asleep."

"I did?"

"You told me to bring you to the island I was telling you about. And I did."

"But why is it that all I can remember is the part where I turned my back on you then everything went dark?"
