I stared blankly at the screen of my laptop as I took a sip from my cup of coffee. It has been 10 minutes since we finished discussing what we had to as soon as we came back. We talked about our next step. About what we should do. Now, what I have left in my to-do-list for today is make the shit's scandal go public and ruin his reputation. And I am so anticipating to see what it does to that prick. I am looking forward into seeing his downfall, then will I be satisfied.

On the bad side, Kai and I foreseen that the boys will go after us once we do this. She had a hunch that maybe, one of us might slip, or if not, those boys will use their resources and if we were right, 3 months is long enough for them not to make progress upon finding us. And Kai made the perfect plan that will only take action once the boys are in the country. That is why we've had our connections moving around every port there is, land or sea. Then we'll have them behind bars. Alas, I'll be satisfied. Until then, I'm stuck with this clip that I can't even open.

Second thing, I am so worn out. Ever since we left the Philippines, my head's been filled with worries. I am afraid that I've burst out too much of my emotions to that piece of shit that I spilled some beans I shouldn't have.

What happened that day kept on replaying inside my head. I am reanalyzing the words I said. And I'm confident I never spilled some beans. But still, it bothers me.

"What's with the long face, anak?"

It was mamá. She took a sit across my table. "Okay kalang ba?"

"Just a bit worried, má."

"Saan?"

"With how things are going at the island."

"Oo nga pala. Kailan mo ba kami dadalhin doon?" Mamá sounded anticipating.

They have been looking forward into seeing the island I bought ever since I told them about it. But I never brought them there. Maybe it's because I'm scared to confess about the reason as to why I risked my money to that island. The only reason they knew is that I liked it.

I smiled at her, reassuring.
"Metá apó aftí ti máchi, mamá. Tha se féro ekeí." (After this battle, ma. I'll bring you there.) And I promise, I will confess. Just not now...

"Sige, anak. Pagkatapos ng lahat."

She gave me a peck on the forehead before leaving the veranda. And just as soon as she left, my ambience went back from light to gloomy.

I've been asking myself, why can't I tell them what happened? They need to know what happened to me for the past 5 years. Kai needs to know about my past with that piece of shit. Because even if that damned crap isn't important, I feel like hiding what we had years ago is disloyalty towards Kai. And I don't wanna hurt her with this secret. I remembered the first time Kai ever talked about her suspects...

I arrived home from a meeting with a company that wants to publish the app I just finished creating. It was a long exhausting day of talking and all I want to do is lie down and sleep. But I received a call from Kai that she wants me home. So I traveled miles from my apartment to our home in Corfu.

"Mamá, papá, I am home." I announced.

"Ma'am, nasa taas ho silang lahat. Doon po sa meeting room ninyo." One of our house servants informed me in which I responded with a smile and a nod.

I put my bag first in my room, changed into my comfy house dress before going to the meeting room.

"Pero Kai, that's dangerous. Can't we let the police handle your case?"

"Ti symvaínei?" (What's going on?) I asked, confused. They have serious faces pictured on them. Even the ambience feels intense.

"I Kái mílise gia to parelthón tis, adelfì. Kai thélei ekdíkisi." (Kai spoke about her past, ate. And she wants revenge.)
