Chapter 39

Giovanni POV

I wake up and feel two warm bodies on me. A big one and a little one. I smile at the thought because i know exactly who they are. I open my eyes and make eye contact with arianna who is laying on my stomach, staring at me with big brown eyes.

She smiles and reveals those cute dimples in her cheeks. She covers her face and start to giggle, i tickle her with my left arm because Imani, who is still sleep, is in my right.

She moves around a little bit, "stop daddy!" She says and I stop immediately.

Does she think I'm her father?

"I mean gio... I'm sworry." She says with tears in her eyes then she gets off the bed and runs herself out of the room. I'm just stuck in the same place. Confused.

I feel Imani start to move, signaling that she's about to wake up. Her eyes flutter open and once we make eye contact, she smiles. I try to kiss her lips but she places her hand on my lips stopping me. "I haven't brushed my teeth yet... or took a shower." She says.

I shrugged, "me either." She giggles. She gets up and goes in the bathroom to take a shower. I lay in bed for a few minutes just listening to the water run in the bathroom from Imani shower, just thinking about what had happened earlier.

I get up and go towards the guess room where I know little Ari is. I knock on the door and hear a sniffle then a smile voice say, "come in."

I slightly open the door to see her pouting and her eyes a little red with her constantly sniffing. My eyes sadden at her expression. "Arianna... you ok?" I ask her, fully knowing the answer.

"No... are you mad at me? I didn't mean to call you dat.. don't leave please." She says, running to me and grabbing onto my legs. I pick her body up and her tiny arms immediately wrap around my neck. I take a seat on the bed with her in my arms & her face tucked into my neck.

"Im not going to leave, arianna... did you ask your mom about this? Do you want me to be your dad, arianna?" I ask her. She looks at me with a pout and slowly nods her head.

"You're so nice to me and mommy & your mommy boyfriend so I thought you would be my daddy too." She says toying with her chubby hands. I smile at her, "I can be your daddy if you want, Ari." Her face lights up and she smiles.

"But we are going to have to ask your mom about this and see if it's ok with her first." I tell her and she nods her head with a big smile.

Imani POV

Of course, it's ok with me. I would want nothing more.
