Chapter 11 *****Edited*****
The days passed and turned into weeks and soon winter turned into spring. The snow on the ground melted and the grass turned green all around the grounds surrounding Hogwarts. Since the break, I was able to perfect the potion for Uncle much to my enjoyment and to Professor Snape's surprise and I did make it my own. Uncle Remus had taken the potion a few times in his life and he had told me that it worked just the same as it had before but it made him a little mellower and more aware of what was around him than usual and I told this to Professor Snape who seemed surprised.
When I told Professor Snape how my potion had affected Uncle Remus when he transformed he wanted to send the potion I created to the Ministry for them to market it for other but I immediately refused. When he asked me why I was refusing I had told him that I refused to help the Ministry when they kept me from my family and the only way I would allow them the use of the potion I created was if they allowed me to live with uncle this summer. I was surprised when he continued to try and convince me to take my potion to the Ministry to help other werewolves and hearing that it would help others almost convinced me but then I thought of the pain that the Ministry put me and Uncle through and I stood my ground; Uncle and I could always find others like him on our own and help them.
Things with Professor McGonagall were still going well as well and I was learning more and more. I was top of her class along with potions and most of my other classes along with Hermione. Transfiguration and Potions were by far my best subjects while History of Magic and Herbology were Hermione's and as far as the rest of our subjects it was really a tie. As far as Ron and Harry; they most of the time really needed mine and Hermione's help with almost everything or they were just too lazy to do their work.
During our free time when the four of us weren't working on our school work we continued to try and find out who Nicholas Flamel was but currently, that search was put on hold because of how close exams were getting and how much work all of the professors have been giving us. At the moment we were all in the library reading when Hermione suddenly came up to where Ron, Harry and I were sitting and she thumped a rather large book down making Harry and I jump.
"I had you looking in the wrong section. How could I have been so stupid?" I recognized the book she was holding. Hermione had checked it out from the library a few weeks ago to read and I had asked if I could read it when she was finished. "I checked this out a few weeks ago for a bit of light reading." Ron made some comment about light reading earing an eye roll from me and a glare from Hermione and she quickly looked through the book. "Of course. Here it is. Nicholas Flamel is the only known maker of the Philosopher's Stone."
Both Harry and Ron asked what the stone was and I sighed and she showed them the book. "The Philosopher's Stone is a legendary substance with astonishing powers. It will turn any metal into pure gold and produces the Elixir of Life, which will make the drinker immortal." Both Ron and Harry looked at me like I grew a second head. "What?"
"Since when are you so smart?" Ron asked and I glared at him.
"Just because I like to have fun doesn't mean I don't take my studies seriously thank you." I said harshly making both boys nod their heads quickly and slightly fearfully. "Now shut up and listen you gits."
"The only stone currently in existence belongs to Mr. Nicholas Flame, the noted alchemist, who last year celebrated his 665th birthday." Hermione closed the book with a harsh snap. "That's what's under the trapdoor...the Philosopher's Stone."
"That's what Professor Snape is after; he's after the Philosopher's Stone." Harry insisted firmly and I shook my head.
"How are you so sure it's Professor Snape Harry?" I questioned looking between the three of them. "Aren't you being quic..."
